ok guys, got a brain teaser for you. did a swap out on my buddies deuce yesterday,and the tranny we put in was built in england and has#3053 on it, but also has the # FR93568. any one know what those #s are for?? the tranny seems to work fine. thanks guys

i just throw mine across the front bumper in front of the winch and tie it down with two bungie cords. oh and a piece of chain and lock so it does'nt fall off.

hey crazywelder, i got one of those conv. after i fried my big one by overloading it. if you put a volt meter on that thing you might find that you're only getting 10.3 volts out of it. it will run the radio and cell chgr. but it wont take care of anyting that uses a lot of juice. have fun. like...
any of you guys see an old comm. bus in a scrap yard you will want to grab the conv.. its in the batt. compartment and is just secured with 4 1/4" bolts.
go with a 24 to 12 conv. you con get a decent 20 to 30 amp for around $40 to $50 and it will take care of what you want. the best one would be out of a comm bus.maybe out of a junk yard, that thing will run anything you can hook up to it.
all you guys can do this and that, BUT remember ,if anything can go wrong it will go wrong and it will cost you THOUSANDS of dollars for a wrecker and legal fees. my buddie had wreck out on the interstate (tho not a bad one) and the bill was over $8,000, just for the two wreckers. the cops told...

my buddie rented a deuce and two jeeps to a movie deude a couple years ago and got $500 each for the day. they were for stationary shots because the actors could'nt drive standard shifts. the scenes were left on the cutting room though. but, boy do they feed you good.

i just changed the beast over to antique plates. the plates are $60 and the ins is $160 for the year. they say no problem if i want to change back. plates $560,ins. $1300 ya ok
