have you changed the oil lately? What's your oil level? Have you driven it harder or longer than you nornally do? There are a number of factors. Besides, it's a MV...they're suppose to be highly unpredicable and mark their spots whenever they want:wink:
From the pics it looks like slober coming out of your breather tube. I don't see anything on your turbo and the pattern on the frame of your truck looks like it is originating in the area of the downdraft tube. Hopefully it's just engine slobber
I guess the best way to tell if it is a leaky turbo is by running your engine to see if you get a runaway:-P Do you have any wetspots on your turbo anywhere? Any fresh oil on the turbo? Is that a drip of oil on your breather tube?
My first deuce had a leaky one as well. I threw some RTV on the end of the unit for a temporary fix until repairs could be made. I was on a little trip and didn't have anything to cap the unit off with.
there are 2 or 3 o-rings inside that unit can need to be replaced. No need to replace the whole thing. I would pull the two fuel lines off and cap them in the meantime.
Points of entry: Any metal to metal joint, windows, just about any hole in the sheet metal. Water does not discrimate:-)
Depending on how badly damaged, pitted or cancerous the metal walls are. I'd start w/a wire brush, depending on the rust I'd do a rust converter or use a rust stopping primer...
Outstanding Aaron! Did you have to go through the main gate or did they let you through the Madigan Hospital gate. I need to get my DoD stickers on my deuce. Looks like I'll have to go through the Navy for the sticker. FT Lewis wants emission tests etc.
