With all the drive shafts out there, some may be installed wrongly. My xm757 has the main driveshaft phased incorrectly, just haven't gotten that far yet, but if left this way may cause a lot of vibrations although the angle isn't very big.
RE: Radio setup
For the amplifier, check with Eric:

Hey guys, I wanted to let you know I have an...
The FDC has nothing to do with the combustion of the fuel, burn bio, veggie, kero, engine oil, anything, there may be some power differences, but probably not noticable in average around town use. The multifuel uses a slow combustion process based on a patent owned by MAN in Germany (license...
Here is a "not so good" image of the plunger test, doesn't take long and it solved my problem, which appears to have been very similar to what you describe.
Finished the heater installation, except for the hoses this morning.
Started engine after two days and it took 5 seconds to oil pressure. Drop across filter was 9 psi after start.
After 15 minutes, the engine op temp was 145° and the drop across the filter was 5 psi.
Doesn't make a lot of sense since there is a cut-off valve in between, Sermis's explanation is more plausable, but then again, why wouldn't all glad hand need this...still looking for a good answer...
Is the IP known to be in working condition? Is the fuel cut-off mechanism smooth and working and not stuck in "no fuel" setting?
Open the cover and find out.
A relatively simple test of the IP is to check for plunger operation, remove the center plug on the hydraulic head and with the fuel...
You may need to check your engine mounts, there is blurp about this in a PS Magazine note (can't find it easily).
It looks like my pump is the kind you need. It's a take-off, so no guaranties.
There is probably zero stress on them on road when free wheeling, it's off road that they will be tested... For on road use, they could be made of wood or none at all.. :-)
Cold weather, arctic or coolant heater.
Looking for control boxes for these, what's availble? I think most are pretty much the same, so the particular truck model shouldn't matter. Thanks.
Re: enclosing the genset
You may end up with unequally charged batteries and upset the condition of them when charged from the truck charging system. Why not have a separate small battery for the genset?
About the enclosure, I'd keep it to a minimum to prevent access problems and...
Les, the pump on the IP can easily be removed. It is attached with two 7/16 head cap screws.
There must be about 3 inches of clearance to pull it straight out.
I have a spare if you need it.
I'm surprised about the casting cracking, it's very heavy, you are sure it's not just the elbow fitting...
Just realized that the heater is not an M151 heater, it's a sawed off regular M35 heater.
This explains the rough edges and the lack of some mounting screw holes and there is no data tag....
