RE: battery
I use "Walmart" batteries too. They are over six years old now.
My 8x8 with the LDS465-2 engine was designed for two batteries and later changed to hold 4 each for extra reserve capacity.
Two batts will be the minimum you can use.
The decision is up to ther manager of the restaurant.
The renderer will place a grease dumpster at the reastaurant for a fee of perhaps $300/year and collect ALL kitchen grease and used VO, including some water and cleansers.
I work with the manager of the one restaurant reasonable near me and...
Don't know if the images do justice to my statement above, but here they are, before and after. Some cracks in the lens was revieled by the Brasso, perhaps a good pressure wash will take care of that (the Brasso caught in the cracks, that is).
Note: I'm a "functions" kind of guy, not a "restorer".
My xm757 lenses were very "faded" also and my intent was to look for replacements, but after polishing them up with Brasso, they are very acceptable now. Don't know about the fit of new ones....

Transportation could become an issue.

Looks good. Can't tell from the image, but did you angle the hooks, align them with the direction of pull?
I'm asking because it's not hard to deform them unless you use a spreader bar when they are facing straight forward.
Picture below is from the 1940's showing hooks installed at an angle...
Robert, if you suspect the FDC, just replace it. It is an easy job, I have had mine off for modifications.
If the FDC leaks, it would effect its calibration.
I'd like to know the real reason for bypassing them, if they are bypassed there will be a slight increase in fuel delivery for any fuel...
Consider the xm757 as a test for the Aervoe 997B (24084), Vietnam era Semi Gloss O.D.
I love the color, it matches old paint almost perfectly and has a hard finish. It also looks different when the light changes, from more green to more black (the steering gear below the lights in the image is...
Right, the original idea was to be able to monitor the oil filters. As usual with some of these gauges, once one knows the readings, they become less important, showing the same numbers over and over....
