I'm down to final assembly on the 5th wheel project.
Here is a comparison of the original and my (should I say temporary) solution using the set from an M52A2. The problem was the approach ramps, they are shorter and lower than the 757 set.
My only concern is the is the weld vs bolt...
Armada, the shocks will dampen high frequency vibrations and may not be the culprit in this case. The major cause of tire scrubbing is the fact that the rear axles are coupled together without a differential. They will push the truck straight forward and fight the steering effort, duals more...
The 1792XD filter, which I received and also pictured above occupies a total space of 17-1/5 x 9 x 6 inches including the mounting bracket and brass fittings. The canister alone is 12 x 5-3/8 inches. The flow rate is different also, about 20-22 gpm. Pressure drop varies according flow rate...
RE: Re: RE: Poll On Reporduction Winch Plates...
I think you should be able to screen print the original worn out plates rather easily, no need to make the plates from scratch.
Perhaps even using the back side, all that's needed is a screen, artwork and black (red?) epoxy ink.
That's my plan...
RE: Crankcase vent - Operating temp - oil pressure- Multifue
Blow-by and some oil is normal. You will get more if the engine is idleing a lot. After I installed a filter for the breather I have been able to measure the amount of oil and it's about 1/10 of a quart for every 1,000 miles driven...
Is the 757 in Oklahoma the one that belongs to Frank Masoner? If so, he does have some axle parts and I have gotten some things from him already (still in OK, though).
If I had the money, I'd buy both just to keep them from being scrapped, title or no title, these things are rare relatively...
Buying or just looking? Got any pictures?
The 14.5R20 should be available as surplus. The image here shows the M656 with 395/85R20 radials.
I want to put the original tires back on mine, even if it takes a while. Only have 7 now and a couple are not too great looking.
The bypass filter has not been installed yet (not aquired either, for that matter), but will be connected to the "Pre Filter" port shown in the image below. It will drain into the oil pan one way or another. I'll test D-man's filter first, so it may be a while.
For oil temp, you pick the spot...
