    M816 power questions

Well, there's another thing to look at. Make sure the VS lever is staying all the way to the front or the back, depends how yours is set up. If it moves when the VS part isn't in use, it will give you VERY low power. Stand next to the engine with it running and give it full throttle, if the VS...

Dimensions/plans for Deuce engine dolly needed

It's not as hard as you think. Set the engine on blocks at the front and jackstands on the rear motor mounts, take off the externals, heads, manifolds, etc. Stand it on the flywheel housing, strip the engine of pistons, cam, etc. 2 guys or 1 guy and a cherry picker can lift the engine, let it...

    M816 power questions

An 855 shouldn't need an intake heater to start. If you need a starting aid or need to plug the block heater in to get it warm...when it's not below freezing outside!...it's worn out. Yes, you can up the rail pressure w/o messing with the governer. On the throttle shaft, there should be what...

    M816 power questions

RE: fuel pump Don't know much about the 816, but I do know Cummins. Do easy things 1st, If it felt low on power prior to the pump rebuild, maybe it's not getting full throttle. Take the throttle linkage off, not the arm on the pump, only the rod from the pedal. Push the pump lever to full...

    Wiper Arm Help

Isn't the shaft part of the wiper motor? The window has a hole in it for the shaft to go thru. Mine don't have any threaded parts, only a kind of taper that seats on the shaft. Only a nut holds the arm on.

    Sea Bees M49

I agree. It makes me feel sick. The truck is beautiful. It has some rust spots on the cab/hood and the runners along side of the tank, the hoses are still in the sides with the caps on them! The bat. box looks as if there were never batteries in it! Looks NOS. I should have asked what they want...

I have a gauge panel with the gauges if you need one.

    5 ton injectors

Two different things, RPM, (road speed), and fuel, ( HP). If it is a PT pump, if you increase RPM, through the gov. spring pack, the fuel pressure goes up with RPM, but if you just wanna give it a tad more fuel, do that thru the screw in the throttle shaft. 1/4 turn CCW at a time. It might have...

    XM757 details

Even w/o the dirt, the loom will wear thru wiring and metal parts it it not secured or the wires aren't wrapped with electrical tape. I'll take pictures when I see it. On busses and such that have copper lines, we just P clip the lines to each other. No chafing that way.

    XM757 details

Bjorn, Be careful with the split loom. I've seen that stuff wear grooves in frame rails. It would suck to have a hole rubbed in the air line.

    M109a3

    Fuel strainer question

Bjorn, If that's on the suction side,I think i've seen these b-4 on older IHCs. If I remember right, it has a very fine screen inside, 2 pcs and one of them turns inside or around the other. An o-ring seals the can and some had rebuildable valves where the handle is.
