I was pretty happy with it. The drivetrain is spottless. I didn't see any rust of anykind, except in the usual spot...under the battery box. Fluids were all checked and were good to go.
Truck is for sale, however buyer needs to pickup at FT Lewis.
I've been getting a few questions on the my latest acquisition. Here are some pics of the newest addition to our family:-D She is a 1968 Kaiser-Jeep M35A2 rebuilt in 1990 at Toole Army Depot. Her entire life was spend with the 133rd...
LOL, I love it:razz: Yah, I'm sure I'm the talk of the neighborhood w/2 deuces and 2 trailers. Can't wait until they notice the 3rd deuce I'll be bringing home in about a week.:-P
Are you looking for genuine CARC paint or something that just matches CARC paint? As Chris mentioned, Rapco does have the CARC-substitute paint in rattle cans. I think they want 12 cans/$60. I am unaware of any places selling CARC in a rattlecan to non-military customers.
Yes I won the w/ow truck. I spent a good 4 hours inspecting the truck on Tuesday and liked what I saw. Albeit I did pay twice that I wanted to but w/the lack of deuces around I figured the price I paid would be the same as that of a private sale. With only the 4k or so miles and new tranny I...
WOW!!! Submitted my EUC today at 0630 hrs. Got confirmation of the receipt of my EUC and other docs at 0745 hrs. Sent off the Battle Creek aleady. This could mean only one thing. The dwindling supply of EUC required items:roll:
Hey Recovery I'll get some picks posted once I get her picked up. I'm really going to have to plan this one out. They will need to be stacked front/back in a single column. The only thing is now my wife will look out the back kitchen window to see a deuce and two trailers. The other 2 deuces...
Doh, I just saw one sell just like this one w/winch on GSA auction on 11-12 in snohomish, WA thru a fire dept. Last I saw it was upto 950 w/ 10k miles on it. Keep checking, maybe the reserve wasn't met.
Well, I started this thread in order to see how to stores deuces. I guess I will be needing to respond to myself as I now have 3 deuces and 2 trailers on my little 1/4 acre lot. I think I'm done with my green machine purchases.....well, for now anyways:wink:
Just secured my last deuce. Paid twice as much as I wanted to. But got rid of the worry of if anymore are going to come up on GL. Granted I paid much less than if I bought from a third party. I'm sure my wife is going to be thrilled:roll:
Ok please tell me you did the right thing and.....bought the truck:-D Don't give yourself a fish story for the future. You will seriously regret it. You'll keep coming back to this forum and say to yourself "why didn't I listen to those who knew"
With all the rain and flooding that was going on today, I couldn't help but think there is going to be a time where I will need to mobilize the deuces and go out and help. My wife asked me if my deuces were good to go today. Funny coming from my wife who doesn't care for them. Maybe she is...
