A hint when installing the canister, don't twist it, just apply pressure to it. The twisting motion will upset the gasket and cause a leak.

Yes it is. From a spare canister/base set I have loose on the work bench. Comes in handy for locating pipe plugs, checking thread sizes etc. :-)

The input circuitry on the 25 amp regulator (black box on the firewall) has a "battery present" sense circuit, which is always on. It draws perhaps one milliamp, more if there is a faulty component. This drain is always present.

Look for a pump that can supply about 10 gpm and has a pressure rating of about 3,000 psi. You will also need a hydraulic fluid tank, about 20 gallons.
