I registered my m35a2 w/w as a hist. vehicle at the end of Feb. this yeay. I did it through a place called Tony's Vehicle Registration Service. They are in Arcadia Ca. They are a truck salvage yard and they register anything..no hassles. It is reg. as Hist Veh. cost 127.00. I am looking at a Ca...
On the mechanical engines, unfortunately, no 250-300 hp, but, the only parts needed to make your 1551 to the 1553 are a turbo, injectors and a fuel pump. The injectors and pump you have can be recalibrated to the 1553 spec so you don't have to buy new or exch if you don't want. The turbo has...
I've had both, the B series ana the DT on the dyno, that's what I do for a living. Not to be biased, but the B, CPL 1553, 230hp 850ft lb walks all over the DT. The power is best at rated RPM but the torque is down at 17-1800 RPM. It will hold a load much better than the DT. If 230 is too much...
I have seen these kits in MV mag. from TNJ murray. What do these do? My truck doesn' have one. Will it dis-engage the front end when you don't need it?
Are you sure the smoke smells of fuel? A turbo that isn't working will usually have symptoms like slow acceleration, dark/black smoke, low power and if there was an air leak between tho turbo and engine, you would hear a loud noise like air escaping or a double whistle, one being the normal...
There should be no vacuum. A diesel doesn't make it. Try leaving the gauge hooked up and just drive it a short distance. Grey/white is incomplete combustion or a timing issue A pintle in a nozzle stuck open, a delivery valve in the pump, pump timing, air in the fuel, high fuel restriction, low...
Cal. is almost the same as Pa it looks like. It cost me 127.00 to register my '68 kaiser as a hist. veh., and 61.92 for insurance bi annually thru State Farm if you cam believe that. The insurance deal was one of my wifes original "do you know what it's gonna cost us" things. No inspections...
Just a thought, Is there a return spring on the throttle lever? Is the lever going all the way back to the idle position? You said you lost a turbo, thats an uncontrolled fuel source, maybe the 2nd turbo is failed too. Try pulling the connectoin off at the intake manifold to see if it stops...

While out looking for a spindle for a tow motor we have at work today, I ran into a man who owns the block long salvage yard. Avter browsing around a while I came across a bunch on mil/ M35 items. One of the items were tires, on mil std split wheels, 6 lug. Most of the tires have the little nubs...
The passenger side door was the same way when I picked up my deuce. I took it apart, put it back together and repeated twice and could see nada thing wrong. Put a new latch assy in, now it works perfect. Go figure. It's a bi-atch gettin' your hand up there! Antelope Valley truck and equip. had...
That is the pre filter for the fuel. Ther are a total of 4 fuel filters for the engine. The one on the frame below the alt., two at thr rear of the engine on the fuel pump side, and 1 for the flame heater, located on the fuel pump side, almost at the pan rail. As fo sealing the filters, The...
Go to a local truck repair shop...Navistar...Kenworth...Peterbilt. Ask the parts person to browse thru a Cole-Hearse catalog. You will find anything you need in that catalog! I think you can request a catalog over the net.
Make sure you check out the PS Mag. Arts on the LH side of the SS home page. Go to the bottom rt of the page, to the "brakes" section. Look at the PS364 and 365 info.. 2nd and 3rd on the top line. There is a fix for an issue that causes leaks. My truck is doing just what the articles say. Let...
