    M37 Worth

RE: Worth? Thanks for the advice guys. That's kinda along the same lines I was thinking. Too bad the electrics and mechanicals need so much re-militarizing, the body is in way good shape.

    Its a vacuum what???

It looks almost like a power brake unit. There looks like a similar type of "j" tube and valve, like on the air-pak of a deuce, on the side. Mavbe it's a device to allow the vehicle to tow a Hyd/air brake equipped trailer.

RE: Replacing Filament Bulbs with LEDs... anyone done it yet Do LEDs care if they are fed 12 or 24VDC?

Crazy idea for filtering used oil.

Check it out. All you would need to do is put your waste oil in a tank of some sort, use an electric motor to provide a feed to the filter, and drain the oil back into the tank. Let it run for a while, and there ya go, clean..er oil! I think I would probably push the oil thru a normal oil filter...

    The Hydraulic Nightmare Has Begun

Kenny, I checked on the covering. It is no longer in production. A "special" run was made for Orange County Transit Authority...squeaky wheel gets the oil! I believe it was a DynaFlex, Stratoflex, Synflex or Parker product. I'll keep checking.

Crazy idea for filtering used oil.

Ya know, there is a spinner bypass filter called "The Spinner". Works off of the oil pressure fed into it by the engine that wants/needs the filtered oil, gravity feed back to the crankcase or resivoir. Filters onto these neet little replacable paper strips. I'll see if i can find a website.

What do you use your deuce for?

And more. Stress relief, unwinding from the daily grind, just 'cause it's there and wants to be used!

    What, me worry?

Hope the installation was a no brainer, glad to hear you're up and running. Wish I would have got to meet you face to face. Be safe and have a good trip home! You gotta write a story for MV mag!

    The Hydraulic Nightmare Has Begun

The local municipality that we are re-powering transit busses for, requested a "cover" to be put on all hyd. hoses. It shunts the oil down and out of the engine compartment, so it doesn't come in contact with hot things like turbos, catalysts, etc...ever seen a burnt up bus?...I'll snap a pic...

    Bjorn in Sacramento

I was gonna take the alt and harness off of my truck, but the harness is so brittle, the insulation cracked as soon as I tried to moved it. I figured changing the pulley over was alot less time consuming then repairing a 20+ year old harness. Bjorn, if it's not correct, call me, there are more...

Good evening guys, I have looked at all of the places I know, Saturn, Idaho MP, Barstow, AV truck, Addirondak..etc, can't find what i feel i need. Mineral oil as fuel

Sorry, i'm kind of old school. Sparkplugs = injectors. It's a normal thing for them to fail quite frequently. Ezra hasn't lost one yet, that I know of. Like I said' i'll ask the next time he is in.
