Hi,
I have a damaged castle nut that needs to be replaced and cannot find a description for it other than a general one, "Nut slotted" or something to that effect.
The Number is MS35692-77 and is for the tierod end shown in the image below.
It appears to be a metric 24 mm. The tractor place here...
With the veggie oil and diesel in the tank as well, the percentage of methanol is probably only 1%.
Frank, you may be able to boil off the alcohol, it has a low boiling point, no more than about 150°F.
Mike, I don't know the fate of the other ones, they may still be there for all I know. They did not have engines, not sure about the transmissions either, probably gone.
Of course, all tires have a speed rating, even new radial off road heavy lug tires have a rated speed limits of 50 or 60 mph.
The Michelin super singles are not that great on wet pavement either, from what I have read, and with weaker sidewalls not the best choice for rough terrain either IMHO...
Stainless steel is safe, but expensive and hard to work with. I use copper for my tubing.
Using the coolant to heat the fuel in the tank works well. It's only needed for 1/2 hour or so to get the temp up to about 90°F. During that time I'm running on regular diesel from the second tank.
The...
The Gama Goats were found at Howard's (now Buddy's) in Greenville, KY. I took this picture in March of 2005. There were about 15 of them.
Buddy was going to have them all scrapped for the aluminum, but offered them for $1,000/ea. Chris, his dad, my son and I each put in $250 and Chris hauled one...
Here is the M105 trailer with new tires and wheels to match the deuce.
It's illuminated by one of the flood lights. The second light is also turned on and shines on the deck from behind the boom. They do make excellent work lights.
Yes Joel. You have to remove the fuel cut off mechanism cover and line up the red tooth with the arrow then visible.
Do that by turning the drive shaft between the transmission and transfer.
Citizen, the picture is a year old, got new 1100-10 NDCC's now. Even got new tires for the M105 trailer with the right wheels from a cable reel trailer in Oklahoma. That was some trip, let me tell you.
Thanks, sounds like it all needs to be done, I'm afraid it's gonna turn into a project, no way around it. Gotta wait for better weather....
How much for a new set of valve cover and oil pan gaskets? What's needed to rebuild the oil pump?
Don't have any pictures of the actual installation, but the shaft circled in the image below hits a limit switch when the transmission is placed in reverse.
There is also a back-up alarm and a kill switch for the circuit.
I have meant to get some pictures, but it's under the "tunnel cover" and...
My multifuel has been making a "clack, clack" noise for some time, perhaps for 6,000 miles now. It comes from the upper portion of the engine and occurs about 3 to 4 times/second at approx 800 rpm. Hard to tell, but could be #5 or #6 piston.
It is more pronounced at low rpms and can not be heard...
