I'm new to the MV thing. I stumbled on this site by searching for topics on the web about the M35A2. I just want to say that this is the most helpful bunch of people i have ever encountered. Everyone seems more than willing to share any info they know about the topic posted, one guy even offered...
It is a troop carrier...I did that, thats when I figured out it wasn't working. I took the "J" shaped tube off of the back co the air pack..no air. Took the supply line off, lots of air. Gave it a squirt of WD40, blew air back thru the junction where the supply line and the "J" tube are...works...
Not just a Dodge thing...600HP and down engines. The turbo on the deuce I got was stuck...big difference in the smoke and power annd noise w/o it. So far...100 miles later, no problems like oil out the exhaust. X my fingers!
Well, It looks like i'll be needing to rebuild that too...maybe. Can anyone come up with a reason why the air side doesn't work. It builds air, there is air at the fitting in the cab on the passenger side and at the red gladhand if the valve is opened.
Does anyone know if the air portion of the brakes on an M35A2 doesn't send air to the yellow glad hand when the pedal is depressed, does it effect the braking on the truck? Does the air side boost the braking of the truck side brakes or just operate the trailer brakes?
I'm unsure of what a "D" turbo is, but depending on the year of the engine, some turbos have a diffuser plate in the intake side, held in with a snap ring. It is there for the reason you want it out, to stop the loud whistle.....this is just my knowledge of newer Cummins engines. I don't know if...
Hey, Thanks for the link to the sound link! Mine sounds about the same. I think i'll check the fuel pressure at the secondary filters. Maybe the low pressure is low or going away at higher RPM. Does anyone know what kind of pressure the in-tank pump should put out?
I recently, 2 weeks ago, brought my deuce back from the dead. It was sitting in a city yard for 8 years, it came from El Toro. The batteries had 0 volts. I checked with the battery supplier (ABC battery) for the Co. I work for, and he said if the the plates don't look too sulfated when you look...
I think with a valve out of it, I would hear a popping in the intake or a chuffing in the exhaust along with white smoke due to low compression. It is smooth running at idle and if the throttle if cracked or held steady above idle it is also smooth. I have never heard one of these before, so I...
Does anyone know if on the LDT 465 it is normal to sound like it "cracks" out the tailpipe on acceleration? I have also noticed that during light pedal operation, cruising at 1500 RPM in top gear, It definatly sounds like it is missing until you put your foot into it. I resurrected it 2 weeks...
