    MTVR Cost

It was an exciting day. I was in the running on several vehicles but was ultimately outbid. Amazing trucks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I could see that. I didn’t know anything about these vehicles, or even know if their existence until last week. I got out before they came around. They sure are cool though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m thinking based on the listing that the rear steering may have “demilitarized”. I see it says the rear steering has been welded to the frame. I’m not sure why, or if and how it can be circumvented. God, I hope I didn’t break a forum rule by mentioning it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m a little worried about paying a certain amount for one of these first trucks then hundreds or thousands of these trucks being sold and flooding the market like happened with the 5 tons. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the info. It’s been a few years since I was active on here and I didn’t remember there being so many rules. Makes me feel like a PFC again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I’m guessing we can’t share info about bids or pre-bid amounts on the auctions? I’m 2 for 2 with posts being edited by mods now. Someone please fill me in because I thought the thread was about what we thought these were going to go for. It seems like relevant info if we are already getting...

I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up going for $30K-$40K. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

MTVR's Up For Sale on Govplanet

I’ve owned 3 M939 series trucks and I loved them. When I was in the corps I drove the MTVR some in addition to an old deuce, and the MTVR is absolutely amazing in my opinion. I’ve already pre-bid on some of these but have been outbid so far. They’re very quick and powerful as well as very...

That is what we are considering. I have a new set of singles for the truck but I am a few wheels short. Cant wait to get them on it.

Bent shaft would make sense to me except about 10 miles from home the vibration just went away and the truck drove as smooth as could be the rest of the way home. That part has me a little stumped. I downloaded all of the TMs to my iPad before I received my first truck recently but there is ALOT...

I didn't try it. I thought about it but I was afraid to break anything else! I'm going to look through the truck and try to figure out what was going on but if it was the main driveline it wouldn't have stopped vibrating. Bret is the front driveline not supposed to spin when disengaged? That...

Despite the setbacks we enjoyed the trip. I'm glad we got home when we did though, by last night and the 20th roadside repair the fun was really starting to wear off.

Here are some roadside repair pics. I had to get pretty creative to keep the air in the tank.

Just.Got.Home. Man, that was a long trip from Ft. Riley!! The vibration just caused the truck to start falling apart. The air dryer bracket broke which caused me a couple of hours and several stops before I got her good and secure with a ratchet strap. Then the end broke off the new air tank...

I have 10 11.00R20s at home so I couldn't bring myself to buy any more even though I could use them on the drive. I'm planning to put the M934 on 395/86R20s once so get her home. I did get some 14.00R20s while I was there though for my other truck. I'm going to try to live with the vibration...

Yes I just left Glen's with a new air tank and quite a few other odds and ends. It was miraculous that I made it to Salina like that. The entire welded connector quickly came off the end of the tank where the leak was initially coming from a busted weld around the connector. I played McGuyver...

Tire pressures were good. One went down on me. If I can just make it to Salina I'll get some spare parts/tires whatever I need. Trying to keep enough air in the system to get there.
