Hi,
Thanks for that link. Thats a great map. The size of the other properties really puts the 2,500 acre RC Offroad park into perspective.
There's enough there to be out all day. Should be fun.
Hi,
That's great news! Thanks for the update. It will be nice to have some new stuff to explore even if it requires a park staff guide.
I wasn't able to make the last fall Rally so I think I may a point to make it to the Spring event next April. Should be fun.
Hi,
Looks good so far. Its packaged nicely and the Kubota motor looks to be in great shape. Yeah its a few inches lower than the running board but its not too bad.
The Kubota generator obviously has its own closed cooling system but for extreme cold weather operations have you considered...
NYC Veteran's Day Parade
Hi,
Here is my little photo essay of the day:
For the parade this year we were again happy to help out the IAVA as well as transport MVs for the Airpower Museum for use by another Vet's organization. This required more MVs as well as being in two places at once but...
Hi,
Thank you for the pics. You see something new every day...
It's actually pretty neat if you ignore its looks; 6V53N Detroit, Allison tranny, an abundance of tool box volume, a multi-stage crane boom with a pole grapple...
If your up there again, look for a model no. for the crane or a...
Trailer Tie Down
Hi,
Congrats Warren on finding an M37. Yeah cross chain outward and if you have four individual chains and binders that is the safest way to go but two will suffice as it's not a monster load. Either the shackles or the axles is fine.
Good luck on the recovery and have a...
Hi,
Sorry, in my previous post I meant to say that Oct. 20-23rd is the date for this years Fall Rally.
Welcome aboard Steve K. I think you'll enjoy it.
Hi,
Let's make it official... October 20th - 23rd.
- Thursday is a dedicated travel and setup day for those trekking long distances.
- Fri and Sat. are trail/activity days
- Sunday is mostly a pack up and depart day although many wheel if they're not far from home
I kinda feel the same way...
Project Update
Hi,
...well nothing much in the way of actual work hahaha. Same old story, too many other projects and lack of time. From the beginning I knew it wasn't going to be "just a bed swap" as the rest of my Deuce needs attention as well. It will end up being a full teardown but I'm...
Hi,
Sorry for extreme delay and lack of participation in this thread. I usually have this stuff nailed down alot earlier. I know how it is putting in for your days off.... let us establish a weekend today.
I'd stick with the Oct. 20th-23rd weekend as it seems to work with most people and...
Captured Pics
Hi,
No that is not the same as the one listed in the classifieds. This one returned from Europe.
There were several WWII Veterans that attended last weekend telling their personal experiences. It was very moving to hear. When you get inside the thing it is very scary to think...
Hi,
Your absolutely, right it needs more gear! I notice how the front fenders have a nice shelf built in so you can put a plank across like you see in many wartime photos. I always wondered whether this was the intended purpose when the fenders were manufactured... see attached pics...
Sorry I don't have any more of the Ambulance. Its real nice inside, they're pretty neat. They were constructed in the back with s-shaped metal studs with insulated sides. There are brackets to hold litters and a toolbox ahead of the pass. side rear tire. Pretty spartan for an ambulance...
Hi,
After coming home Friday night from Aberdeen one would think that'd be enough but this past weekend extended those Military Vehicle activities and it was a blast. Our local clubs put together a mini WWII Weekend at the local restoration village which made for a great setting. It was fun to...
PS Monthly 8 Inch
Hi,
Thanks for the video, that's the first time I've seen that combo in action, great stuff.
While perusing the old PS Mags I've found some appropriate literature you might enjoy.
