    6.2 Cam Replacement

The magnets will only pull them up about a half inch each, they won't come out all the way. I wanted to know if a half inch on each side will be far enough to swap the cams. The vehicle has only 8200 miles on it. I had two bolts back out of the water pump plate. one sheered off when it cam...

    6.2 Cam Replacement

Has anyone tried to replace the cam without pulling the heads. After I pulled the rods I noticed I can use a magnet to pull the lifters out about a half inch. I thought about using 16 magnets to pull up the lifters all at once, and slide the cam out and the new one in. Any thoughts?

    Fuel Bleeding Issue

I just checked the solenoid. With the key in the on position, it clicks once when I first attach the pink wire. Then I don't hear anything. Is it suppose to keep clicking? And if so, does it click when the engine is running?

OK, I just checked the fuel pressure using a Harbor Frieght combination pump and vacuum test gauge. Not sure if there is a special gauge that is used for diesel. The pump is rated for 10-14 psi. I'm getting 8 psi on this gauge. Again I do have flow out the exit on the fuel filter, but can't...

Need Help With a Lack of Power Issue

I checked the compression this morning. All 8 were between 410 to 425. This is what I expected to find since there is only 8700 original miles. The timing marks are lined up. I have no smoke coming from the exhaust at all. I am starting to think it might be the IP. My question now is, If I...
