    Questions about an '86 CUCV

if its a M1008/M1028 you could still haul something. The TH-400 + the 4.56 gears should do fine. but no high speeds then, a M1009 does not fit for towing really heavy stuff... 3.08 10 bolt axles and a weak hitch.

    Questions about an '86 CUCV

The 6.2 is basically the civi one, just with a 24V system (so you could jumpstart other army equipment) . You may consider reading through the TM´s found on this site. Its kind of special.. 2 12V Alternators, 1 of them isolated. glowplugs fed 24V through a resistor to give them 12V .... before...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Today I finished my "sunvisor & roof lamps" project. I know I offend the original CUCV look with it, but I wanted roof lights & the truck to fit into my garage. That was the only solution possible. The lamps are powered off a relay which gets activated from the highbeam circuit. I think just a...

    RPM Red line for 6.2L

In Germany we have to pass a Exhaust Gas test where they push your engine to its deadline ... a few times. I thought my 6.2 was about to explode, they had to restart their testing device because on the first attempt my CUCV killed it. All shop doors open, smoke everywhere rofl ,on the 2nd...

welding on a CUCV / CARC

super duty 2 component epoxy is what I expected...and I really dont like it, the ones they sell around here are really nasty + you get dizzy, when you smell it its already too late :D ... I did a research for myself aswell And for gluing: If it can glue helicopter blades together I think its way more hazardous than CARC ..that must be serious stuff. I think I´d rather stick with the welder... (I...
