Here is my current door lock. Kind of a PITA to put on and off, but it works. I think it is a standard 6' length of cable lock from Lowes or Home Depot.
This is an kind of interesting M103A3 trailer frame I picked up recently. Muddog actually was kind enough to pick it up from Mechanicsburg, Pa. when he was picking up his M109A3. This M103A3 is of course the frame used on the M105A3 trailer, but it is just missing the body in this case. It...
You do realize that WVO is acidic, right? Your trying to run only WVO and leaving it there in the fuel system is not good as you are slowely disolving your IP and assorted parts. Also starting on cold WVO is not good at all. The CUCV IP is not known as the strongest. I have used WVO on an...
Mike is a good guy. I wonder if he is in charge now. There was a guy that lead that site for some time after the older guy retired that was real efficient looking. Westfolk and I were there to pick up a truck and he could not figure out where it was! It ended up being down a Fort Lee about 15...
Call up the national office, and complain that they don't answer. Ask for their cell phone. Then leave a message on that complaining you have been trying with no results to get ahold of them. They actually check that. I am not sure if I have that number around still.
Or...
Fax them a letter...
Here are some pics of the older style M101 bow corners with the wood and sheet metal verticals. One thing that should be pointed out though is that there is not difference between M105 and M101 bow corners in at least the ones I have seen. Even some of the newer ones use the same center piece...
It has been a while since this was discussed in past threads (SEARCH!), but I think the only difference is that the 5ton is longer. The 5 ton has an extra bow. I assume we are talking regular cargo versions of both, because I know dumps and other versions might be different. I remember other...
I found a few other pics. Not all the same though. It looks easy enough to make. It looks like a hole would have to be drilled in the dash to make it work which some might balk at though.
I am drawing a blank on the fellow SS member's name this sec., but he did a real nice job installing a dead...
Anyone have any close up pics of the accessory switch lock they could post here. I might try my hand at some once I get my current obligation done with.
I am interested in obtaining the entire NA exhaust system from someone that has done this conversion if someone has these left over parts cheap. I have the idea of reinstalling the original NA exhaust on a turbo in order to quiet things down a bit without having to have a visible muffler.
Oh I don't know how you pay, but I have a standing request to not charge my CC as I often pay with a MO. Otherwise they would just charge it as soon as the EUC cleared.
hmmm JohnnyReb did not say anything about them demanding pickup before the invoice showed up. He just got the usual email demanding payment like I just got the day after my EUC cleared. I don't think the invoice is ever posted to "your account" on the GL site for you. I only get my copy via email.
They play hardball to scare you into compliance with some of thier unrealistic time frames they set. If you miss the date they will suddenly give you several more days to comply. If they do try to screw you then please post it though as GL loves to get good press from its buying public.
Well Muddog otherwise known as Harold and his lovely wife Caroline picked up their new M35A2 W/W today from Richmond. It was a very nice deuce that was well maintained for function except for the normal drained batteries. I showed him how to operate the deuce as this was his first. We then...
Well I suck... A coworker called in a favor and I need to work this weekend. I had expected to be off for Saturday and Sunday. Sorry I am going to miss everyone. It would be fun to take my deuce offroading one of these days. At least I will still be getting a t-shirt so I can pretend that I was...
RE: Re: RE: Looking at buying my first
I hope this wreck of a M35 is a benign enough example of a "1985" truck as I don't want to post any listings people would get upset about having attention drawn to it. It is little more then rolling parts...
Re: RE: Looking at buying my first
This is not actually correct. While the year is determined by the contract span it is not as easy as clicking on the NSN link. If that link was accurate then apparently every truck up for auction now is either a 1985 or a 1989 truck even the early 70s trucks.
Well today I was over at the local scrap yard dropping off metal I had accumulated. One of the guys told me of some military stuff when he noticed my trailer. It turns out that the place had perhaps 15 M105 and M101 beds along with a few M105 frames. I was rather exited, as I would love to turn...
