M105A2C vacuum for brakes? Towing vehicle question too.

Got curious so I did a little search, seems they did have "vacuum brakes". http://operatormanuals.tpub.com/TM-9-2330-213-14-P/TM-9-2330-213-14-P0022.htm With the A2C designation, I was thinking a dropside 105?

Proper Crimping Technique Photo #10 in this thread shows a very good set of crimpers, the required tool to make trouble-free crimped connections. Most crimp type connectors, forks, spades, rings, etc., are "rolled" on the crimping end and have a split on them, (butt connectors do not). When...

    Air horn woes

Proper troubleshooting procedures out of the TM may have kept you from throwing parts at your problem. Here is a wiring diagram to start with: TM 9-2320-209-20-2-2. I realize the referenced TM is for a Deuce, but it shouldn't be much different from a 5 ton.

Hindsight is 20/20, wish I would have done that when I yanked the trans out. Oh well, next time...new clutch disk, pressure plate, T/O bearing and a rear main seal.

    Pyro advice

I just put a little grease on the end of the bit, started up the motor and all the pieces stuck to the grease, or were blown out of the hole.

    Pyro advice

I used the Hewitt Industries units. A "K" coupling that requires no power for the EGT gauge, and a 0-15 vacuum gauge. They will also put in 24 VDC LED gauge lighting at no charge. http://hewittindustries.com/

Oil pressure reads nearly 100 psi when cold.

Quite a bit of difference...mine starts cold at about 37 PSI and runs a needle's width above 30. I have about 20K miles on the motor, and a fresh oil change. Hmmmmm.

    M35a2 oils

I don't think I could have Wally World do an LOF on my Deuce. I prefer to do it myself or you can take it to a truck shop, so you know it's done right.

What Do Slave Cables Consist Of?

What AWG size cable is it? Sounds like a power supply cable for maybe radio equipment? I don't think it's a slave cable with a fuse holder built into the connector.
