Proper troubleshooting procedures out of the TM may have kept you from throwing parts at your problem. Here is a wiring diagram to start with: TM 9-2320-209-20-2-2. I realize the referenced TM is for a Deuce, but it shouldn't be much different from a 5 ton.
Hindsight is 20/20, wish I would have done that when I yanked the trans out. Oh well, next time...new clutch disk, pressure plate, T/O bearing and a rear main seal.

I used the Hewitt Industries units. A "K" coupling that requires no power for the EGT gauge, and a 0-15 vacuum gauge. They will also put in 24 VDC LED gauge lighting at no charge.

Quite a bit of difference...mine starts cold at about 37 PSI and runs a needle's width above 30. I have about 20K miles on the motor, and a fresh oil change. Hmmmmm.
I don't think I could have Wally World do an LOF on my Deuce. I prefer to do it myself or you can take it to a truck shop, so you know it's done right.
What AWG size cable is it? Sounds like a power supply cable for maybe radio equipment? I don't think it's a slave cable with a fuse holder built into the connector.
