I believe you are correct about the term. I couldn't find the weight of the assembly, so I thought I could find individual weights and add them up...thought I could get close. Seems Allison is a little tight-lipped on their specs for products sold to defense companies.
Rubber gloves would be a good idea, breathing concerns? I'm sure most of the hydrogen was consumed during the explosion. Proper OSHA required gear would be rubber gloves, rubber apron, full face shield and work boots. Things like this scare the begeebers out of me, one day you're sighted, the...
Whoa Cowboy! Let's see if we can't figure this out before we throw fairly expensive parts at it.
(1) Be sure and go through every ground connection point; at the flasher, and every light housing.
(2) Inspect the interior of all the light housings; corrosion likes to build up inside and create...

I put (2) 12 volt chargers on my 003A and disconnect the "dogbone". You'll have folks say you don't have to disconnect it, but with disconnecting it before starting, it forces me to do my pre-op checks. Not only that but I have an aversion to putting positive and negative on essentially the same...
Welcome! First, download the Tech Manual so you can become more familiar with your gensets. "Wet-stacking" is more of an issue with water cooled units. The 120 volt convenience receptacle won't even come close to loading up your genset enough for a good exercise. Correct installation to your...
