So I am looking at the MCC (mobile climate control) unit 13-4506. Does this use the engine coolant or is it self contained? Wes, I watched your youtube video about the A/C side and see that it does require a compressor, etc. So I am assuming that the heat side would require hot water or...
Ok, if this needs to be in the modding section, then sorry. move if need be. I did a search and it seems that not many have asked this question. So here it goes.
I would like comments, opinions, recommendations for a cab heater. I see there are some kits out there, but not sure what I...
So Now I am in the market for one. Not because the vacuum pump died. Nope its pulling almost 30 inches at an idle. The problem is, that is making a bunch of grinding noises and moving around, literally moving around! Pretty sure the gear or something maybe a bearing is toast! Having a lot...
I rebuild 700r4's to handle extremely high HP numbers, but to get it to handle the torque I am putting out would have required almost $3000 dollars. Getting tired of the 700r4. The 4l80e can handle 800 ft lbs of torque with no modifications. with a few mods it can handle well over 1000 ft...
Well, the 700r4 failed miserably! Pump died, 4th, 3rd, and 2nd failed. So I upgraded to the 4L80E. To much power with the turbo and the injection pump turned up.

700r4 and the 4l60e share almost all the same components. Most things are interchangeable. 4l60e is easier to fine tune as far as shift points, shift firmness, ect.

A cummins would be nice, but that presents many challenges. Dropping a 6.2 or 6.5 in is a direct replacement. No modifications necessary. Plus the p400 block he is getting will be putting out the same hp and tq numbers as a stock 2002 cummins.

70 mph is at max governor of 3600 rpm. Which is red line. Engine failure is immanent at those rpms. The engine harmonics for the 6.2 are horrible. Operating at those rpms causes extreme harmonic differences inside the engine. Cranks break, rods snap, head gaskets blow, blocks crack, main...
They do make a good point, the governor only protects the engine from over revving. But if your constantly running in the yellow arc of the rpm range it decreases the life of an engine very quickly. The yellow arc starts around 2800 rpm. With a turbo 400 and the engine at 2800 rpm, that...
According to AMG, it's 250 hp and 550 ft. Lbs. N/A. Add a turbo and watch that number increase greatly. Add water-meth injection, that should add another 100 hp and drop egt's by 300-400 degrees.

Yes, you will need a flex plate for the 700r4, tv cable bracket and rod, and a hot wire to a switch for torque converter lockup.

Ya I am not impressed with them either. They are way over priced. I can't believe they are still in business. I need a radiator for my m813, they want $2000 for a NOS, and $1000 for a used one. I found them else where for $700-900 for NOS, and $300-400 for a used one. My advice is do a...
If you have $8500 you could put a P400 6.5 block in your truck. They say it can handle 250hp and 550 ft. lbs of torque. But I bet that it could take closure to 500 hp and 800 ft. lbs of torque. Its only money right?!
I sold mine for $5000. It was in decent condition for its age, all original. Since yours does not have the original engine, radiator, wiring that really hurts it's value. The lift, tires, cross-over steering do help the value some. you might get $4000 for it, maybe a little more.
