This has been addressed several of times. You have the same problem most of us have had. DO a search for m1010 or leece. I use a modern 100 amp battery equalizer and every problem went away. It makes sure the batteries are balanced . The old DUVAC was not designed right and that is why most...
I remember somebody selling the M1031 utility bed (maybe called a M887)on ebay not to long ago and it didnt even sell. I think it was around 400 or so. I am looking for one. Who makes the bed and where can I fond one? Thanks
Does anyone have a radio mount in their pickup? Either the one that goes over the 4x4 shifter or on the passengerside floorboard. I am looking to buy one if anybody has a spare. Pics would be great of your pickup setup. Thanks
RE: Re: Two engine questions (mystery engine electrical pigt
WOW that was easy. I had my mind so set on finding the other half of the electrical connector over looking the hidden temputure sensor. Thanks CUCVFAN
Well, I spent all day tying up some loose ends on the engine swap. I noticed that where the green glow plug wires on the passenger side come out of the loom (under fuel filter), there are two wires (org/black and grn) also coming out and into a female wire connector (cant find in TM). What...
That seems like a lot for a recore. Kragen sells them new starting around 350. The older ones are build out of better materials. I am wondering if the performance will be better getting a good recore than one of the new ones?
Well, after blowing up the old motor in June, I finally got the new motor installed and it runs like a champ. Brian from BRTRUCKPARTS (very pleased) provided the awesome turnkey motor even though I was skeptical buying a used motor off of the Internet. After 15 hours of swapping, it fired...
I had the same issue for my M1028. Do a search on "hydraboost" for several post. For the M1028, the cheapest I have found it is $150 at Kragen

What is this? I cant find this in the part manual so I think its a military specfic part. Maybe some kind of elec choke or throttle advance............!@#$%^
The other day when my M1028 head gasket failed, the tow truck driver picked it up from the front and towed it about one mile before switching to the rear. After towing it for 30 miles at 55mph(trans neutral, tcase 2wd), my speedo no longer worked (dont know why, havent looked yet). So the...
Im sure it could be done but probably not safely for 400 miles. I guess I will have to track down a trailer. I am pissed that I didn't buy a military tow bar a few years ago at a swap meet.
Im not sure what brand of dolly uhaul uses, so I was wondering if it can be done. Uhaul states that the M1009 is to heavy for the dolly. Will the tires fit on it? I am sure someone has tried it. If not, I will be looking for a tow bar in southern cAli. Thanks
Just won three M1030b1's for my fireteam (they look super badass will all of the USMS logos). Does anyone have any experience with the military klr650. I have looked them over and I should be able to get all three road worthy in no time. On two of the bikes, the engines were removed for the...
I should of saw the early warning sign. I had sludge in the coolant indicating coolant mixing with oil. If I get away with just a head gasket, I will need to shovel that sludge out unless there is some type of cleaner. I hope the loud knocking is just from a/several leaking cyl. and not a...
