    deuce hub possible issue

Most likely as others have said it's brake adjustment. Jack that wheel up and see if it spins with light drag (or similar to another). Consult the TM's for proper course and fine adjustment methods if they need adjustment. It takes a little time, but something you need to know. If that...

    LT. Dan M35a2 Modification Thread

I'm constantly amazed at how many people pull out in front of me in the Deuce.... I've even had them get scared and stop halfway out! They do it to me in the Land Rover also and it sits 7 foot high and the headlights plus amber halo's on the off road lights are on all the time!!

Looking good! It's almost ready for the ride to York for future fuel :-)

How to turn up the air.

I've never timed mine, but the buzzer is off and the gauge is reading close to 70psi by the time I check the drivers side turn signals, pull the drivers side rear chock, and I am reaching in to bump the hand throttle in from 1100rpm down to 900rpm. By the time I do my passenger side walk...

I'll agree with gimpyrobb... You should be able to lock them up (not that you'd want to)...

    LT. Dan M35a2 Modification Thread

Sounds wise to measure. All except for the front shaft were tight on mine, so I haven't had to replace any of the capped ones yet. The oil will be here for you :-)

    LT. Dan M35a2 Modification Thread

Yep, My local store had two Moog choices, both grease-able and one was a heavy duty. The oil is still here waiting for you, but it might cost you a 9.00x20 or two :-) I don't know if you have this cross reference link, it is helpful. The U-joints are on here as well...

    151 stuck

Well, at least she isn't like most kids just sitting and texting, chatting, or playing video games.... Looks like an opportunity to teach her a lesson in recovery and then negotiating hazards in the dark :-)

    Deuce bumper illegal in CT

Do your research... I can't answer for CT. I had a mechanic try to fail my '67 MGBGT a few years ago for not having hazards, reverse activated lights, or meeting minimum bumper height requirements... It took a more seasoned fellow to show the young'un that "as built" trumped his handbook he...

When to Engage Front Wheel Drive

Lock it in as soon as you are off of hard surfaces... You never know when you may need it. It's not only for getting you unstuck, it is for going down downgrades as well. A vehicle will slip quick using the brakes when going down a steep hill when the weight transfers. In my yard I have a...

A big welcome from another resident of the Commonwealth. It's never too late for a steel earth-toned mid-life toy. :-)

Front Brake problem any help would be welcome

To add to the suggestions above... If you eliminate the air pack as a contributor and it is just the front wheels dragging, check the flex line from the chassis to the front axle. The insides of flex lines can collapse preventing the fluid from returning and causing drag (even while looking...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I installed a new brake switch after a walk around last week yielded that it was faulty.... While I was under the carriage I decided to grease all the zerks and noticed some play in the front propeller shaft universal joint by the t-case. I dropped the prop shaft and replaced both of them for...

Deuce or Bobbed Deuce as a Farm Truck?

This was my second 40 mile round trip in my "farm truck" yesterday. Besides the EGT's getting a little high climbing a 2+ mile long steep grade it didn't even know it was loaded. I couldn't ask for a better truck! I even got a text from a guy I know who was behind me for a portion of the...

TreadWright Tires - Anyone run them here?

I've run them for years, 31" Wardens on the wifes Rover and 33" Guard Dogs on my K2500 and lifted Rover D1. I only run E rated tires on my trucks and SUV's, but I did have one Warden that developed a crack in the sidewall about 3 years in... I debated getting real BFG's to replace them when I...

    Need to find cheap Deuce

As was said in a prior post. A few years ago a $2K-$3K Deuce was possible, but after doing the appropriate PM's and updating you were into the purchase for a total around 4K+. In todays market, I'd expect to spend $4K to $6K+ for one and another 1K+ going over it making sure it is up to date on...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I replaced the master cylinder in the Deuce for good measure, then took a load of yard waste to the recycling yard. When I weighed out, I was told that I can't return unless I have a DEP sticker on my tuck since it is a class 8 truck...... That was new, I've dropped off stuff many times over...
