I don't think the OP want's speed, I think he was just questioning if his truck should be capable of reaching 50mph on a flat which it should do easily.
I know I didn't buy my deuce to go fast, but I did shop around to find one that seemed happy running and doing what it was made for. I drove...
To answer what I believe is the intent of your question, no... If you are on a flat and in top gear, it should easily pull to redline. I know from driving others that mine is an exception making good power, low egt's, and blowing little smoke but yours should not be to the floor on level...
Years back the garage I did dyno runs at recommended this oil called Mobil 1 Synthetic and how much better it was than my beloved Rotella T6. He gave me a great price on 5w40, so I did an oil change before my next run. By the second pull my oil pressure was below 10psi at idle (when I normally...
A big thank you to the Host! Lots of great pic's and it could have not been a more beautiful day! Sorry to those whom my "foot coverings" weirded out. Now you know why I'm "barefootin"......:cookoo:
The family will be down with a meat/cheese tray and some chocolate chip cookie brownies as soon as they come out of the oven.... However, It will be in the Rover as the pre-check of the Deuce yielded a compressor belt that I'm not sure will make the round trip..
I heard similar the other month from a guy I was talking to when I drove the Deuce to Lowes. He stated he missed the old trucks because they were so much more reliable. He said after some of the heavy rains we had they didn't have enough "running" modern trucks on their base to deploy and that...
The drag sheets I bought off the original load handler web site under spare parts. I found other Kevlar tarps, but I figured I knew these worked and my original held up to years of abuse. I just used 1/8" rivets and washers on both sides to join the two sheets. I did the full overlap at the...
Well, I hate to admit it, but I have been a satisfied "Load Handler" user for over 10 years.... With my Chevy K2500 semi-retired until rust work is completed to pass state inspection, the Deuce has been doing pick-up duty for almost a year. It's done very well at the task except when it...
If you pull the trigger post pic's on a Land Rover Thread or PM me.. I came very close to bringing an "air portable" over from across the pond last year to keep my wife and my D1's and M35a2 company....
These are the ones I was originally going to buy as well. I'd seriously call some local moving companies and see if they have any used ones they want to get rid of. It's been a while, but I think I gave around $125 a pair for mine. I know I got all 5 of my ramps for under $300.....
