Jump packs, REALLY?
My favorite Einstein quote is;
The only difference between genius and stupidity, is that genius has limits....
It's also called natural selection... It's time to thin the herd:)
That being said, we had a similar response to a similar incident a few years ago at work. I...
I can't add much... I use it for everything that I used my Chevy truck for in the past. It's been used for going to the local lumber yard, hauling wood/pellets/mulch, pulling stumps, going for breakfast with the kids, going to visit grandma, moving family/friends, or just a drive. I have no...
I'd be game for a Carlisle meet as well. With my busy schedule that's about as far as I can go. I'm there for Trucks, GM Nationals, and the Import show. It's been getting thin on attendance the last few years......
This is the term I grew up with and hadn't used the term "drive shaft" until I was much older. It's a propeller shaft in the true definition. A propeller shaft, or Cardan shaft is a mechanical component for transmitting torque and rotation used to connect components to a drive train. It...
So did the Rangers in Haiti some years back.... Sounds like emr has given his opinion on their status as well... ;-)
It's my wifes toy so I'll let him get away with the comment . But next time he's passed by a little blonde climbing some rock steps on opposing wheels in a black...
Yep, but did you see the episode where the most un-reliable truck (Land Rover) was the most reliable beating out an FJ and Suzuki in their quest :?. It's all about PM and staying ahead of the curve.
Actually they aren't bad if you understand their quirks and what seems to be planned obsolecence of certain parts and keep ahead of the curve. In my younger years I had MG's as daily drivers and never had one towed (normally they can be fixed with duct tape, WD40, wire coat hanger or a...
At sixteen my kids may need to convince as to what their choice of vehicles may be also. There are some I've already said NO to as potential options. My 100% girly girl daughter ironically wants to fix up my '90 K3500. My son would like an old Saab, MG Midget, or early Land Rover. The Midget...
SMOKEWAGON66, I can only answer from what I've read over the years.... Hopefully an expert will chime in here. Melting time is 1300F and others have stated 1150F sustained is a caution point. This also depends on where you are tapped in for your pyro (many opinions on that topic as well)...
Pass the word around where you work, kids school (if applicable), church (if applicable), etc. You may find that you will have more than you'll be able to store very quick. I had people with tens of gallons that didn't know how to get rid of it since many auto-parts stores around me have...
Although that is nasty, I've seen bearings where the cages cracked after they welded themselves fast. Good catch.... Reminds me that I need to pull my wheels and PM......
The line up of their products are good, but expensive. It is available here in the US for "professional" use only. I know of a state side source if you ever need some.
michigan4x4,
Just be careful when using chemical strippers. If they are left on too long or the surface isn't promptly/properly cleaned it can get into the metal and cause issues with paint adhesion. My best advice is to do small sections that you can finish the stripping and post strip...
I don't know what your budget is, but I have seen "kits" that contain the frame, belts and seats that are MVSS and DOT approved around the $600 mark. There are more expensive quick detatch models out there as well. I only know because I was looking a few weeks ago. Do a search on "truck bed...
In one of my other worlds there is a large following that uses Rotella T6 in our gas powered toys. It keeps coaking and sludge formation down, allows us to carry higher oil pressure at idle then some other more expensive brands and has had some of the best results upon oil analysis after hard...
