Your trying to get tire and run flat off correct? There is a groove in the run flat for the valve stem. The end sticks out just enough to catch the bead on the tire when your trying to get it off. I used a big thin pry bar to get it around it. You can use other things but I was using it anyway.
Wish you were closer or I'd come help, but at 5 1/2 hrs it's too far for me. I agree with 98G really not safe to drive on the road at this point. Have you brushed up on the operators manual? Lots of good stuff in there, I find something new everytime I re read a part of it.
Got any idea on how much weight you were carrying? I've been hauling dirt this week also for use at my farm. My last load was 10k, wish I had a dump kit on mine....
I was also going to suggest the figuring from the tire side of the equation.
Measure the circumference of your tire.
# of feet in a mile ÷ tire circumference = Tire rotations per mile
Tire rotations per mile x 60 (mph) = Y
then Y x 6.75 (gear ratio, I think)= rev per mile at 60mph
That air filter would have been better placed else where. You get more power from cooler air, that one will be pulling hot air off that engine. There are other air filters that flow more air that fit into your original air box. Other wise good job
I pulled mine last year, I think their sled was a little smaller than some I"ve seen. It was a plate sled, set with as much weight as they had available and all the spikes down. I had no extra weight, tires at 55 psi, low gear, and limited to 1st gear. It was slow at the end but she pulled it...
Hey guys were hitting a wall with parts. We need a shut off solinoid in the injection pump and the gasket to seal the top of the IP. I've exhausted the guys at NAPA and Dixie Auto with no results. Does anyone have a part number, or know of a supplier that would know what we're talking about?
