Had not! Going to bring dirtbikes and ride along the way, so that will probably be the largest factor when planning our route. Thanks for the tip though!
After tracking down all the parts, decided not to go with the 16's on hemtt wheels after all...
The track width is pretty far off, the front being over 104'' wide (illegal) and way outside the fenders.
The rears would need spacers to be made, and then the use of special lug nuts. Even so, the...
How did you mount up the wheels? Did you use lug nuts with a threaded snout on them, or spacers and thimbles in the rear? Just running regular hemet valve stems?Pictures would be great. In the middle of this swap now.
If balancing doesn't work, you can try shaving the tires.
Thanks guys. Going to take some measurements tomorrow. Leaning towards spacers in the rear and possibly the aluminum budd nuts in front to get extra thread engagement with the standard length studs. Will snap some pics.
That seems like a great solution for the rears. Helps fix the track width, and moves the studs off the drums. Still gotta figure out what to do for the front.
You can only tighten the compression fittings so much, and after putting a wrecker CTIS controller in my trucktor, it only made the problem worse. Here is my fix.
One bolt, one nut to adjust the pressure on the cover, another to lock it in place, and some washers sandwiched in-between. Pretty...
Picked up a set of hemtt wheels and 1600 michelins for the 916, but have a few questions before I can get the tires / wheels mounted up.
1) What are the correct valve stems to run? Looks like there are two styles of hemtt valve stems. An old one with two valve cores, and a newer one with a...
The air supply for the seats starts at the pressure protection valve, and runs up into the cab, Maybe start looking from there if both leak? One of my seats is doing this also. Have not taken anything apart yet. Usually they stay in the same place for weeks. Only a few air down.
Thats been the most common problem with our trucks. Even when they're really clean they still come loose with time.
Tested for leaks just like Suprman said. Eliminated all of those. Think the last thing left to go wrong is the wiring?
