Ok going to revive this thread. After being disappointed by the price of that compressor going up to 1900 dollars i was about to just pull the generator off. but i ended up on the GP auction buying 3 new Compressors so i will be getting back on this and hopefully have cool air to work on other...
That is a 40 amp output alternator and the factory one is 35 amp thats about all i can tell you. The MOD you bought is not going to fix your issue with the Generator, just prevent a potential problem. so lets focus back on your issue.
Truck finally runs again. No smoke was lost. Although I had to keep going back to the diagram as I did hook up some batteries wrong then corrected the mistake the battery terminal crimper has paid for itself and I hope to not have to use it again. All batteries on 24v side are running 14.12 and...
Thank you just got everything in the mail last night and couldnt work on the truck because of the dust bowl that is planting season. so hopefully tonight more progress. I will be running new wires from the polarity protection device so i can put the disconnect where i want it

I use this part on all the MEP 531a's that I sell. Replaces the well nut on the fuel drain just like in the 802/803 they work well, but always need to remove burrs and prep the surface
Lets make this easy here is a link to the discussion about the well nut...
Well after it was brought up on youtube how bad the first 850jr was by dirtperfect they made it right and untimately he ended up getting a different one, and it seems the D7 that Letsdig18 received had everything done to it that could be. Just my perception. Not trying to high jack this...
Glad to know that DirtPerfect on Youtubes first dozer experience from C&C was still the case that is happening. Only Youtubers must get a completely job ready machine. I know everything they sell is used but apparently the camera must not capture the whole picture going on. Glad this is...
Take a picture of your gauge, several have put aftermarket gauges in that are not accurate. close but not close enough. Since you do not have a temp gauge this might be a clue
