I did not remove or loosen the mount. Just unbolted the master and rotated it and it came right out. Don't remember if I undid any clutch linkage.

I removed my master not too long ago. The mount does not need to be removed. There are 4 bolts. I had 3 out and it would not move. I could not see the 4th bolt. After scraping off the dirt and grease found a 4th bolt. Turned it sideways and it came right out with no problems.

I'm talking about the nuts holding the wheel together and not the lug nuts.

Well all 12 are 5 sided. It just came from the military. There was also a different air system. No valve core on the rim and the original system connected to a ? 3/8 air line.

When did the nuts change from 6 sided to 5 sided./ I went to dismount a wheel today and spent 10 minutes trying to find a socket until I realized that the nuts were 5 sided. When did thy change or did I just get an odd ball rim?

Again I can't find the right TM. I removed the steering linkage from the steering box to the axel, ? drag link, to be able to remove the axel from the truck in order to add a locker. What is the adjustment. All the way down and line up the cotter pin or is there a specific adjustment or torque?

OK can someone explain? Why is grease needed to be packed in the front steering knuckles on the deuce? OK on the old 4 ball joints I understand but on the new style “U” joints, why does grease need to be packed inside of the knuckles. I tore my front axel down to install a locker. After...

I have 2. One looks real good with tire mounted. Look at the the bottom hole in the pic. There is another hole that is also like that, oother than that it is good.

I think that is what they are from. This ia a 10.00 15. It looks like the deuce pattern. Any ides.

Thought about that but it was a PITA and still don't have it put back together. Don't really want to take it out again.

I know they are military just don’t know off of what of if I would even have a use for them. I did not have a chance to measure them yet. I am going tomorrow to pick up some deuce rims and 5 ton rims. All have street tires except for a 14.00 on 2 piece rim.

Make sure the drum lock on the side is disengaged.

I found these rims's. They look like a deuce bolt pattern but are tubless and the rims center is about 1/2" thick. The tires are 15 X 19.5. Any idea what they fit?

There is allways the tast test. Bitter DOT 3 or 4. Not bitter Dot 5.

Well I guessed good on the carrier bolts. I torqued to 170 and then adjusted to line up for the wire.

I read the TM that you had posted and it says 300#. I was going to stop at 200#. Had 3 down an the 4th snapped. Now to find some more bolts.
