I am installing a locker into my front axel on my M35. Anybody know the torque specs for the cap bolts and carrier halves? I have looked and looked and can't find the TM with it in it.
I decided to put the locker in the front axel. Started tearing it down. First time I have ever been inside a Rockwell. I removed the tires, hubs, spendles, axels, and fluid. I replaced the fluid when I got the truck but it had a little water mixed in the fluid. I had a problem with it...
Will that hydro motor work on a regular 5 ton winch? What would be needed to attach the hydro motor to the winch? I am wanting to add a winch to the rear of my M35 and this would make it a lot easier than running another PTO drive line to the rear and chains.
Tire sledge is almost a must. I have used a slide hammer but the sledge works better. You will be supprised how it will work. The jack will work sometime if the tires have been dismounted in the last few months but if they have been on the rims for a long time or got some rust they will be...
Re: RE: Locker location
I only run one lockout hub on the center axel so that is out unless I add another splined axel and lockout hub.
Never thought about "Clocking the axels" on the front.
I am leaning towards the front. Maybe drop the front spring shackles, lift the front which should...
I had a post sometime back before I singled my truck. I am running 15.5’s on widened rims. I have front lockout hubs with air shift. I am running a single lockout hub on the center axel for on road use.
Where to start with lockers? I only have one locker at this time. Would it be better in...
Chain clamps??? The ones for the front axel? Wish I would have known today that there was an intrest in the 2 pin adapters. I could have picked up 4 this evening. I had no use for them so just left them there.
OK I have a M37 project. Motor was locked up so the head was pulled off. Lots of rust in the cylinder from a bad head gasket.
I also have a Willys wagon project. It would only try to run and was getting hot so I finaly pulled the head. Same thing. What is the deal with the 6 cylinder...
What is needed to change the gearing in the M37. I have never been inside the rear ends. I know that my rear pinion will screw in and out so it will need to be fixed. I don't have the truck here to look at. I saw a gear set that says it will change the ratio from 583 to 489. The PIC of the...
Yes the cap nuts hold the inner wheel on when dueled up. The outer wheel is then put on and is held in place with regular nuts which cover a bigger area. The outer wheel acts like a reinforcement ring for the inner wheel. Look at a lot of civilian trucks. They use a ring that is bolted to...
RE: Re: RE: Re: Tire sizes for my deuce????
??? 14.00 tube. How much are the tubes? Contact info? I used 12.00 tubes in my 15.5's. I had one tube split in a seam. It might have had some trash in the tire, not sure but 14.00's would not strech as much. My tire guy said about $45 for them...
I have seen civilian wheels fail using the cap nuts. It is better to use lug nuts but with the thickness of the military wheel the cap nuts, well they might be ok. If you had an adapter ring / spacer plate it would be ok.
8 posts, Yahoo e-mail account, no information in profile, empty package??? I would like to say honest but there is a lot of doubt!!! Maybe he will pony up and make it right……
