most 60's and on large chev trucks 2-5ton have the bellhousing, adapter ring, clutch etc that you need. Most of the older ones are drilled in the bottom hole bell housing that will mate to the trans. I found a mid 80's the other day that was drilled, another that was not drilled so some of the...
I am running 15.5's on the front with stock rim. I added the 3" to the outside of the rim. No rubbing issues yet but I have not put it in a bind off road.
RPM will reach 2400-2500 in 4th and 5th but it takes some time to get there. As long as you are on a flat road it will do ok. Any grade it will loose power. A very long grade and you will start dropping gears. I pulled Barrmans gasser on a trailer the other day and could never get out of...
Mine is real. Simi 1919A4 in 308 build from a parts kit into a simi auto. I have 3 different mounts for it shown. 1st is a M2 mount modified to hold the 1919A4. 2nd is a small mount. 3rd is the shield mount. Just need a linker and some ammo and then my kids; me too, can have some fun...
RE: Re: goodyear mvt
The rims I built have not rubbed in the turns but I have not put it in a hard off road bind. I am running the military flaps for the 16.00 / 20's. There is a tire guy not far that sold them to me for $20 used, I think.
I have no use for it. Wish I would have known. There was another good rim there I did not get. I thought about cutting the Deuce center and welding it in.
I scored another 15.5 XL and it came with a rim. It was a real pain to get the tire dismounted. The lip inside the rim that holds the "O" ring stopped the tire from coming off. After a lot of sledge hammering I got it. I know why they have started replacing the wheels and tires as a unit.
The...
RE: Re: goodyear mvt
Same idea kind of as I did except for the overlapping. I like the clean insie but with the heavy flap I don't think leving the indention from the old lock ring inside will ever hurt anything. I like the military deep lock ring a lot better.
I drove a Kenworth part time for a friend in a construction company pulling an end dump gravel trailer for about 7 or 8 years. It had a 3208 Cat and we never had a problem with it. Other drivers had problems twisting driveshafts. His maintance on vehicle is not verry good. Might have just...
OK help on the TM. I have a slow connection and downloading each to find what i need takes for ever.
Any body have simple step by step instructiond on how to get the pully apart?
WOW that's it. I'll swap motors with you. Just watch the oil level so it does not drop.
My oil psi runs around 55 so I have never worried about it much but it is getting worse on the leaks. Summer project to fix it.
Right now I don't think mine will ever rust due to so much oil. The front axel is black. When you stop and idel it drips onto the ground Only uses about 1 quart per 1,000 to 1,500 miles. It needs gaskets but really does not seam to be geting worse.
