I am in need of an air compressor belt. Mine is separating and has flipped over. Just not come off yet. 1st where is a good place to get one? 2nd what is needed to replace the belt? I have seen a wrench, which I don’t have, for removing the pulley. Can it be done w/o the wrench? Is there...
The riveted would work good forthe outside 3" added to the wheel. Heat and punch the rivets to make it clean. Weld up the holes and grind. With a lathe you could turn a welded rim and remove the dish and be done with no holes to fill. Leaving the riveted band will do the same. I spent more...
Sometimes what sounds like a good idea at the time might not be later. At least as I have gotten older, maybe not wiser, it's not here hold my beer and watch this. Well sometimes, just not on the road.......
OK I worked on the riveted rim today. I added the 3” to the inside of the rim a while back. I went on a 250 mile trip the other day to help Barrman recover his M35 gasser. I was doing about 60 with the throttle set when the front right went flat. The tube I used split under the tread. Not...

OK How do I post PIC's in a post. Do you have some simple instructions. I noticed that the pic's I posted only show a link.

Pic #1 & 2 are in the parts washer. Sorry, I cleaned it up to take a pic. I did not clean the bearing. The inside of the hub looked like the bearing before cleaning. I did not see any brake fluid contamination. I did notice that the cage on the bearings had some slite bends / bumps in them...
I have not cleaned the rollers yet but they looked good. THe cup / race has meta as you can seel flaking off. It did not look blue like it got hot. It still had some grease on the rollers. Don't know what caused it but it was a wreck waiting to happen.
Almost a disaster
I repacked all my wheel bearings except for the front right. It had a leaking wheel cylinder so I was waiting until I got a wheel cylinder kit. Well I had a flat on the way to recovering Barrman’s truck so this was a good time to tear it down. All the rest of the bearings...
Does the 5 ton winch also have a drum lock on the side like the 2.5 ton winch? My winch has a threded hole on the side at the top but whatever gos there has been removed.
