[^] I think it's a great idea for those of us bidding on any GL auction to let others know on SS, good call ColoMil [thumbzup] !That is, as long as they are aware and play fair and not shoot the price through the roof (which I don't think any of you would do intentionally!) It's those who...
Great ride! [thumbzup] Is this the one Baja is going to be driving to school? That's last I heard of the venture. If so, do they allow a vehicle that big? I know at my old HS they wouldn't have flyed with that idea!
John
Well, do you think it was easier to have it hauled than to drive it. Sounds like it would have been about the same amount of money either way. Who did you use to ship your deuce?
John
Well, does that $1 to $1.50 a mile flat rate - or is there a loading charge, otherwise known as a hook fee? I know some on towing as I used to work w/ a company that ran alot of Lowboys OTR and even if there was a milage fee, they would get them on the loading and securing time. Hourly usually...
I think this can be an addicting hobby if you ask me - it's one, then two - now three and where shall I put the forth one (Deuces meaning....)
LOL - At least that is what I can see being like!
John
Very good job MM! Did you sand it first or just paint over the original paint? And, a curiousity - is that a mini glass pack you put on the stack? Or perhaps a cherry bomb? What's up with that stack? Also, is that a disc brake I saw on the rear axle??? Just observations and things that make you...
Congrats Baja! You have now become the envy of us non-deuce owners!! May we drool over yours too?! LOL - just waiting to find mine. Patience is a vertue, right?
Again - congrats!
John
P.S. YOU BEST SEND PICS! OR WE'LL HUNT YOU DOWN!!! [^]
Wow - as usual, you guys are walking encyclopedias about the deuce!! I personally am amazed the amount of information there is to learn about these trucks and still even more amazed by the wealth of information each of you has!! Thanks alot for answering my 'stupid question' - now I know about...
Yeop, those prices firm or flexible? I liked what SA had - seems like a good lot. Might have to head out to TX one of these days!
Thanks for the info Iceman! [thumbzup]
John
Will do Sgt - Just thought I would share the info. Consider the enthusiasm curbed. Sorry, just being the new guy I guess. Not wanting to make enemies. Thanks for the heads up!
John
P.S. If you want to delete this thread - that's fine. I would if I could but can't!
I have a stupid question - I understand the premiss of 'Multi-Fuel', however does that literally mean you can put ANYTHING in the fuel tank and the truck will run off of it? Diesel, Gas, Lantern Fuel etc? Or, does something specifically have to be done to the engine to prepare it for something...
Here is a link - just thought I would pass it along for those whom may need one of these. Yes, to answer your question - I do sit in front of a computer all day and this is one of my favorite places to play! :roll...
That looks GREAT Kaiser! I think you really have a kanck for that - if you don't mind me asking, what does the 5 ton cover run vs. the 2.5 ton cargo cover?
I see this on e-bay and it's $200 - is that high...
Well, I think we should definately consider getting a SW chapter going of something! At least to continue on with the preservation of these trucks. Keep them in tact, help with how they won us wars and transported troops on possibly the last ride they may have taken in their life. There is a...
