A torch is the best way I have found to get it off... Stinks, lots of smoke but it scraps right off with a putty knife and the remainder will wipe off with lacquer thinner.
OK not much of an update but I am running out of play things with out having a truck but I will get into that in a minute...
The dash changed... the gloss black was nice but WAY to reflective so I went with a textured polymer, which is a over glorified way of saying bed liner coating applied...
Not bad looking sets but I would not buy them unless you can inspect them... If the IP pumps, oil coolers, and/or boards are missing you will be in for big money!
Yeah... Onan dropped part of their small engine line, which was a smart thing because they sucked anyways!!! The newer emission standard for 19HP and under are quite stringent and I don't think they were doing well enough to afford the R&D and retooling required to meet the new EPA specs...
yeah... I bought 2... both missing the SAME damn parts!!! My only GL "no preview" purchase... 1st time, last time!!!
and yeah I just got a Kubota V1505E which I will put one of the 12 heads on and make it a 1800 RPM single phase double delta 120/240.... You know its a bad parts situation when...
I've got 2 of these from a GL auction and can not get the parts to fully assemble them... My only bum GL purchase to date... Lucky you, they are good gensets but have to be handled with kiddie gloves!!
If it cranked at first it's got to be something simple...
I would start with the fuel...
I think Rattle nailed it...
If the nozzle was leaking bad enough and you left the pump on long enough it would easily fill the turbo, intake, and eventually run into a cylinder or two filling them partially with fuel. When you crank the motor and it were to fire before a full 4 cycles it would...
The power window and door parts are all 12V... I have intended to install a second Alt to the truck and run both voltage systems... I had considered going 12V before I started buying all of this but I was considering the 24V advantages with starting, etc... I think I am going to stick with the...
Napa has no listing for these using the NSN and or Rockwell PN's... I just bought a single set of them to take measurments and cross them, when I took them out of the box I realized it wasnt happening, they are not conventional wheel seals.
If you find something that I've missed please post it...
I am looking to run 395 85 20 on my truck, I had fully intended to buy 20" bead lock wheels but I am getting into a pinch for money with everything I am doing so I am eyeing M135 rims as a temporary fix up but I am worried about size, back space, etc.
395's require 20X10" rims..... M135 rims...
Lastly do a search, there is more information on all of the above hidden away on the site... >>>> http://www.steelsoldiers.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=search
Now that I've got a 24V AC im in a dilemma.... *ugh*.... I can exchange the compressor I guess and swap out the electronics but damn I hate wasting money like that...
FYI... If anyone wants to do such a swap the starter and alt can both be converted for about 160-175 each.. You can pick up a...
