Ok back to the sliding window bit...
You would be surprised at what a pain it is to find a window that will work with flat sheet metal!!! I never realized that 99% of truck windows have a convex to them both horizontally and vertically (see side pic).
If I have the pics in the right order...
I've been working on my AC system for a few weeks now, I started some time after reading the above thread and feel like I have a little more to contribute to it I know this is LONG but I felt it needed to be in order to address some of the issues and special considerations with a Deuce and most...
AH.... Slow start this week I got food poisoning Sunday night and spent Mon and Tues flat on my back... The joy, the fun!!!
I managed to track down a rear sliding window today and it should be here tomorrow so I am hopeful about getting the rear section finished. (will post PN's and the like)...
DIY Coolant test kit ... Napa PN 4107
Above pictured filter base is Napa PN 4019
There are several filters you can use with this base the above filter (4070) is additive free, PN 4428 and 4429 have water softening chemicals to prevent rust and maintain pH. I dont know which is best for a Deuce...
I told ya!!! Yer more than welcome!!! Although too much time spent here has a habit of wrecking personal relationships, marriages, wives, etc... Something about being more in love with your projects and blah blah blah... I don't know... I rarely listen, kinda thick headed im told!!! aua

I got to bend up what I needed to thanks to a friend with a machine shop whom has more toys than I do!!! Its a 3 hour drive to Orlando but the trip is worth the time saved in fabricating parts.
I cut and bent several channels that you will see installed in the next few posting of pics.
I cut...
I just went through this... It was not at all fun hunting the box down but it has a lot to do with living in S FL, no one speaking English, and no room (land wise) for actual TRUCK junk yards... I ended up going with the Saginaw rather than the Ross HF54 Gerhard used. Both will run you 400 -...
OK... Not a biggie, it takes a much bigger man to say "oops" out loud than it does to ignore the mistake and go on... Thanks for bringing it up but lets do some damage control and get technical.
Seal and bearing number are listed in the following order... ID/OD/W or technically speaking...
Well I got the power stuff in today... I don't know who designed these motor assemblies but I would swear that they had a Deuce door on the bench when they were doing it because they fit PERFECTLY! You could install one of these in 2 hours!
Im glad I have the door as an extra to play with...
If you sand on the left side of the bumper you will proably find numbers there... You can also hit them with paint stripper (spray it on don't brush it) if your attentive about the process it is possible to read several layers of numbers. Using a video camera for re-play during the process helps.
Quick tech write up... :)... just add the fittings you need to reduce the filter mount down from 1/2 to 3/8 pipe, grab a second 3/8 tee, thread sealer, redrill and ream the holes! Once the parts are in your hands its pretty crystal.
I was going to machine both fuel and oil adapter bases to...
In terms of hose I think "gurgling" would be about it... The tank pump is just a transfer pump, all it needs to do it get fuel up to the IP. Once there the pump can cease to function and the truck will still run untill it looses prime.
3511 yes.... 3512 I say no... Get OEM filters Or...Get the...
Corp I threw the numbers on my list, it might be a month or two before I get to doing bearings and seals (need EUC for a start!!!) but I will order them and find out if no one does it before.
