    1917 Machinegun Cart....WW1

....not really... Good question....!!!..Maybe some folks just don't want anyone else to have what they do...? Making one of these WW1 wood carts would be very expensive in time and money. The artillary wood spoke wheels...38" high...are just not available anymore, also the metal parts are not...

    1917 Machinegun Cart....WW1

...somewhere.... Several carts have been restored...but the guys that I know thru the 1919A4.com web site will not share their info on the gun carts....go figure. I'm not a wood worker...not the right equipment...but I've done enough that all I would need are the rough dimentions and I'd get...

    1917 Machinegun Cart....WW1

    1917 Machinegun Cart....WW1

Wrote about the this as a 'road-trip-from-h***',so decided to post pic's. Not really 'auxillary equipment' and not a 'gun truck'...but was the vehicle for moving the 1917 Browning water-cooled machine gun around the battle-field during WW1 and thru the 30's. By the start of WW2 the 'gun cart'...

tip for starting diesel even though you have total glow plug failure.

....maybe better...? Might not be good for the GM products...but have been using ether shots for my 7.3 Ford diesel duelly for 6yrs after the glow plugs started acting up. Did this in -10 degree weather a week ago....started right up. May get some flack from others...but it works for...

    found on road dead

Excellent starter vehicle.... This Dodge would make an excellent starter vehicle for restoration...and double for everyday transportation too. Larger than a jeep, smaller than a duce...and probably cheaper to restore than either of the above. Buy it,get it running and then sell it to someone who...

    Road trip from h**...!!!

Been planning a road trip to VA to pick up an original WW1 wood gun cart purchased by auction....about 750 mi. from home. Wanted to pick up a Bridgeport mill, several M3 tripods, 1K of .50 BMG ammo and a duce engine from Gimpy Rob along the way in OH. Gimpy was able to get engine delivered...

....good women... Congrats on joining our addiction...eerr...HOBBY...!!! Welcome to the best MV site. My lovely wife only rolls her eyes, asks what the heck I need armored vehicles for and cannot reach the gas or brake pedals on any of my 'green frogs',as she calls them.

    Scout Car worth?

...grab it...!!! Even if you just part it out, you'll be saving a piece of history. Better yet....buy it and restore it. If you can weld, cut steel, turn a wrench and rebuild a motor...you'll never regret getting it. Just to have it sitting in my garage would be enough for me to get it. If I...

    Help w/large trailer definitions

....little different... Most of the pre-50's vehicles had the same pintle ring. After that, the larger lunett and such seem to predominate. The latch-type on my 1943 White half track is smaller than the piece on my 1970 duce. Both size rings will fit in them.

    New track tool....

...nope... MGD....don't waste your money....!!! These tools are for the steel-tracked vehicles like my FV432 (avatar) and M60 tanks. The halftracks have rubber tracks that are one-piece...like a large rubber band. They are constructed with steel cord and such, but once they break...they must be...
