....well done...!!!
Nicely modified...tastefully done. Shield and .50 BMG make a nice statement...LOL. Good 'desert-sand' color...especially for the NM desert and sparce vegitation in places. Email for contact....just click on avatar or monicer.
...regular 'maintainence'
Now don't tell me that anyone with any military experience can't understand 'regular maintainence'. That's when you...fill up w/fuel,check the brakes, drive around the block to 'check' the steering,go air up the tires, get an oil change and so on. You got to be creative...
...yeah..
I'm so addicted...LOL. Looking for the 12-ton M127 (?) type. It's only 8' wide and does not require a 'wide-load' permit to run around like my M172A1 does....
...welcome....!!!
Enjoy the rush of burning diesel and JP-4...LOL. Time to be a joiner...not a follower. Only those who do nothing.... do not make mistakes or get in trouble. Welcome to the best MV site.....
...welcome...!!!
(SALUTE),Brother....Welcome to the site. Stay alert, shoot straight and come home safe. From an old retired vet who only got to 'teach' people to shoot...LOL....
...welcome...!!!
Welcome to the site. Hope you can make the transition from an MV owner to an MV lover...!!! Take the family out and get them used to the smell of diesel...LOL....
..with all due respect..
Gentlemen...this MV brother has asked for assistance. Whether or not you can assist, this is neither the time nor place to continue another discussion, especially when it concerns his money-matters. Either offer your condolences, assistance or a positive message. It...
Welcome....
Welcome,Craig....!! Also own an FV432 that is completely restored. It's an earlier 1965 model with the Peak Eng. turret and full NBC and Klansman radio/intercom. I'm having a carb problem...nothing serious...just would rather have a diesel model. Don't need any parts..yet..and have...
...got one...
Have had my FV432 w/Peak Eng. turret for less than a year. They are easy to drive...probably the easist tracked vehicle to learn on. Have had trouble with the carb system....it's the Rolls-Royce straight-8 gas engine...but other than that it drives and runs reliably. I'd rather...
....Armor-up...!!!
Ferret's are excellent for first-time buyers. Has a short learning curve, easy to drive and road-legal in most states. If the Rolls-Royce engine runs and the vehicle is driveable...$12-$17K...depending on how it is outfitted. Mine is up-graded and last re-build was 1984...has...
...check the TM/FM
Probably need to check the schematics in the TM or FM for the exact electrical wires and colors. If not available, ask if someone can check their manuals. Sorry ...don't have any help for you on this vehicle.
...good possibility
GL probably got their system hacked..and does not want to admit it. If so...we could all be in trouble. There are several auctions going on I'm interested in...and having second thoughts.
...cost analysis...
Let's see....about 4,500 mi. one way..9k total= $2K in diesel. Wide-load permits for 15 states= $550-$600. About 2-wks drive time and lost business=$2K. Nope...not very cost effective for this trip...LOL....
...thanks....!!!
Appreciate all the help. Been a disaster lately..death in the family, new home purchase,etc.etc. Stalwart...your patience is appreciated..email sent with particulars. Hats off to SteelSoldier members....!!!
...lol....
Nope...I just repaired the ones that did not pass prelimary inspection. Your's was damaged when you ran over that stump in your back yard....!!!!
...lol....
Youse' guy's are a riot....LOL. Cannot believe the original poster has not found out what the asking price is when he stopped and took the pics. He's just not going to let us know until he has sold his house and hocked his furniture to buy this outstanding piece of history. If he...
...jaded...?
Maybe I'm a bit jaded ...but why so much for an older model...? I helped build these for about 6-mo...floor-pan riveter...on the assembly line in 1986. Unless it was a 'professional re-build' with all NOS parts....?
