Ok I heve read posts where the stock rims are used with wider tires. Some say yes and some say no. I know the 15.5's and 395's list a 10" or 11" rim to mount.
Who is running the tires on stock rims and how are they working?
Is there any sidewall issues when running the narrower rim?
RE: Re: RE: Re: How they/you do dat?
I have 2 new 395's and 6 used 15.5's. 15.5 are close to full trad, guessing around 95% without measuring. I was thinking of using the new tires up front and used in the rear on the Duece. Just making sure they are close to the same size. Front axel will...
RE: Re: RE: Re: How they/you do dat?
OK Are the 395/85R20's taller than the 15.5/80 20's or are they the same height.
Reading the posts it shows the 395's at 46.7 and 15.5's at 46.
I can't seam to find any other information relating to tire size.
It need hoses. Tap the hoses off the motor like a normal heater hot water heater and run them along the frame to the back and up under the seats like the gas heater. Flex duct to the original opening and wire into the original heater switch and your done. You wan't loose that much heat in the...
Going with super singles on the deuce. What width rims. I know the 395’s came on a 10” wide rim but what would be wrong with putting them on the stock width rim. Other than a little sidewall bulge what would be wrong with using the stock rims.
What is the average price for an air pack rebuild kit and who has them. I am having break problems off and on and I am sure the air pack needs rebuilding from the posts I have read.
Anybody know what the average price is for a Ferret. I know I have to state, the vehicle and not the animal. It is complete but in need of restoration. It was said to have been running when parked about 10 years ago.
My brake peddle got real hard to push too but there was no air escaping. The brakes just started locking up. Was able to drive the last couple of miles home but they got really hot, 700+. The truck sat for a few days and the brakes started working ok again. They almost seamed better than...
Had been diesel with maybe 10% gas until my supply ran out. went 50/50 because gas is about 35-45 per gallon cheeper. Air temp yesterday was around 85 so I dont think temp is the cause. Will cut back on the gas and see.
67 M35A2. When I got the truck it would start right up. I have put around 3000+ miles on it. It would turn over 4 or 5 times and go. Now you have to crank for 10-15 seconds or more before it will fire.
Changed the filters, bled air. Top bleeder will pump fuel 3-4' in the air. Fuel is mixed...
I've had better luck with the duckbill hammer than the slide hammer. Soap and hammer away moving a couple of inches each time as you go. I have used grinders and sawsall as the last resort. Even used a cutting torch before, lots and lots of black smoke.
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER STAND OVER...
RE: should I change my plugs and wires and distributor
If every thing else is 24V I would leave it and convert back. I converted my M725 to 12V but I also swaped in a 350. Wish now I would have left it 24V. Only a few more $$ to get a 24V alt and starter. I had a wire issue last weekend...
