I think he was carrying it into the garage to work on it so the outriggers wouldn't work, but I would have used the shipper braces while moving it instead of carrying it on the hydraulics. Of course, if I thought a tornado was going to drop down in the immediate future I would take shortcuts...
I was dropping off a trailer at the scrapper today and found this hiding in the back of the lot. It apparently is owned by the owner's brother and he's not interested in selling it. They used to have three, but they sold two of them to one of the mining operations around here. Another...
Re: RE: Put the M816 to work.
Shot you a PM... in addition to that list, I need some windshield wipers... LOL My truck is missing the blades and blade holders, only the arms are left.

Lookin good... It looks like you're loving having the 816 back at work.
I'm moving a 25' van trailer that has a broken pin tomorrow to the scrapper so I'll have some working pics tomorrow.
We need to get together and compare notes sometime Mike... there are some things on my 816 that I need to...
The A2s had the singles and CTIS, the hoses on the rear were probably equalizers that connect the two duals together so they can be filled from one port and both match pressures. I've seen them on commercial trucks before.

How bad off is it? Is it restorable or just a donor?
I'll second the question of type and quantity of axles required as your message was a bit vague.

RE: Re: RE: No glow plug control card
If you want to hear it run, you can always use a little (just a LITTLE) snort of ether to get it started. That's how I got my parts truck started before I put the time into getting the GP system functional.

There is a small bracket that is missing to mount the inboard track on each seat. If you can find a Suburban with bucket seats, you can cut it off of the floor and weld it into the pickup.
I'll try to find time to take pics of my Suburban this week to show what I'm talking about.

The controller card is only needed if you want the Wait light on the dash to function properly... otherwise, a momentary switch to ground the solenoid will be enough until the card comes in.

Well, the second 1 should be a J, the rest decodes just fine for a 1985 M1009. The seller of my last CUCV made the same mistake in sending me the VIN.
1 = US Manufactured
G = General Motors
8 = Utility Vehicle
E = 6-7K lb hydraulic brakes
D = Government Direct Sales
1 = 1/2 ton
8 = Blazer
J =...
I don't have a trailer for sale, but I have an 818 and an 816 if you need any help moving it or getting it off the base. Shoot me a PM if you need anything.
