I'd tend to agree with you, but up here at altitude (about 7k) the poor N/A 250 is only putting out 190HP. I'd much rather put a 350 or 400 Cummins with a RR 9 speed in it. Oh, and Jakes... jakes would make the descent much less eventful.

According to my girlfriend who was following behind me when I was towing my new Deuce home, my 816 was shooting a 12-16" flame out the stack on the longer hills... she tried to get a pic with her camera, but it just came out as an orange dot.

My speedometer adapter failed on the way to the Memorial Day parade in Denver. I finally got around to pulling it off and looking at it today, the adapter itself fell apart, separating from the transfer case. Does anyone know if you can put it back together or should I start hunting for a new...
Running a diesel engine too lean is impossible. You won't hurt anything by it, just won't have enough power and as you mentioned, hard starting.

Here's the 53 deuce that I just picked up. According to the paperwork I got with the truck, it was originally a USMC truck assigned to the air unit at Lowry AFB in Denver.
I'll try to get some more pics of it not hooked to the wrecker rather soon... LOL

I don't mail or fax anything... I scan it all to PDF and e-mail it to a rep, then call that rep and make sure they got it and it is correct.
FYI: Their fax system takes the incoming document and turns it into an e-mail... I don't believe that it ever comes out as...
Did you smack the clips with the hammer and socket? This does two things, it pushes the cap back from the clip releasing tension against it and loosens the clip in the groove.

The SF-97 is the Certificate to Obtain Title stating that the vehicle has been released from the US Government since the feds don't issue titles. For all intents and purposes, it is a title. Now, that said, I don't believe there is anything requiring that...

42-6-119. Certificates for vehicles registered in other states.
(2) If a dealer acquires the ownership of a motor vehicle by lawful means and the motor vehicle is titled under the laws of a state other than Colorado, such dealer shall not be required to file...

That one is supposed to have a line connecting it to the injector behind it. Only the rear (closest to the firewall) injector has a cap.

I wouldn't destroy the SF-97, I would just file it away with the title so that there is record that the Gov released it in case something ever comes up in the future.
