    Towing a M1009 w/ a car dolly

UHaul dollies are only rated for a 30x9.50/15 tire so the straps won't fit. You might not even be able to get the Blazer between the fenders of the dolly. If it slave starts, you might be better off driving it with a trail vehicle or towing it with a strap if the brakes work since it's only 6...

    1009 slave jumping

It's a one person job. Hook the slave cables up to the individual trucks, start the 1009, disconnect the cables. Later, Joe

    Light tower/generator trailer

It is a piece of AGE Equipment and I think its designation is NF2 light cart. The pictured one is an older unit that has a gasoline powered Onan 2.25KW generator. The one on White Owl's site is a newer unit that uses diesel. Later, Joe

    Light tower/generator trailer

I'll second that as being a homebrew light trailer either by the military or once out of the service. It looks like they took the lights and scissor unit from the unit below (which is not good for use off road) and mounted it to that power plant (which is). Later, Joe

    Parts

Is there a part number I can give them or do I just ask for a 24V shutoff solenoid for a 250 Cummins? Later, Joe

    Looking for whiffle tree

LOL, No... A whiffle tree is a bar that attaches to the tow rings on a military vehicle so that the wrecker can lift it. Do a search and you can find pics. Later, Joe

    Shocks for M101

No, a M101 Canadian is very similar to a M416 (Jeep) trailer, the US M101 is a LOT bigger. Later, Joe

    Working the 816

Those straps are 20' 18K rated nylon tow straps. I'm looking for some true sling straps, but I haven't gotten any yet. Luckily, my 816 came with those big 24k lb clevises that are connecting the straps to the hook. I didn't go through the roof because I didn't want chance the truck slipping on...

    800 series hood/winch/hard top interest??

I might be interested in the whole truck if the price is right and the wrecker bed is complete. Later, Joe

    Working the 816

I unloaded the CUCV from the trailer today with the 816. After some repositioning to get the '09 closer so it wouldn't swing into the wrecker and the wrecker so the feet would sit flat, everything went pretty smoothly.

    816 hoist repair

My 816 has a leak around the shaft of the hoist winch hydraulic motor. I looked in the TMs but can only find how to remove the motor, but nothing about how to disassemble it and replace the seal. Is there a separate TM for the crane? Thanks, Joe

Help ! Getting 24 volts in my 12 volt system !

RE: rear battery Yep, that would be your problem, the small red cable is supposed to run from the back negative or front positive to deliver 12V to the truck. Later, Joe

CDR valve from NAPA questions and other tune up questions

One more new development in the CDR saga... I just went and looked at my two 1009s that I got from GL and they both have CV871 valves on them. The valve also has 25042443 stamped on it. I replaced the valve on my Suburban with one of the valves from the '09s and the mount is clocked a little...
