    Got my treadwright tires in....

my F250 needs new tires before winter, I may give these a try. I change them out myself with my HF tire changer, and run equal packets for balance. $406 for four shipped. If I were to get 50,000 miles out of them, I would be happy.

    Spare Tire

I use the bottle jack that is in the BII to lift, and the supplied tire irons to lower the spare.

Do you need a new steering arm for a 4 inch suspension lift on a m1009?

4 wheel parts, usually their prices are a bit more, but they tend to know what you need. Go with their advise.

Do you need a new steering arm for a 4 inch suspension lift on a m1009?

Depends on the kit, some use a raised steering arm, others a dropped pitman arm. For 4" kit I would imagine you would have to do one or the other.

New To the site an wondering about a M35A2

Going to be an expensive daily driver. Think about it. 5 -10 mpg diesel (unless you are going alternative). 10 tires to replace when the time comes. 7 brakes. Two oil filters, and three fuel filters, 22 qts of oil. 3 axles to change fluids in. Great trucks, but for sole...

    air system issues

opps, you posted before I hit send. I never had the valve apart, but I suspect you can rebuild them. Only one way to find out, take out the valve and see.

    air system issues

Ok, you do know the "switch" is a valve? Close it all the way to shut off the air, and the more you open the valve, the faster the wipers work?

Broke an axle, now what ?

Boyce will cost you a lot more then it needs to be. Honestly, you should easily find what you are looking for in a junkyard, or even look in your local paper and craigslist. You could possibly find an entire truck that is rusted out for silly cheap, yet have the axles you need. Most of the...

Broke an axle, now what ?

Yep, if you can't replace the axle, bearing and seal cheaply, I wouldn't put any money into a 10 bolt. Big tires, and semi float axles are a time bomb. Slap a 14 bolt in there and never worry again.

CUCV towbar for rent/loan between Tampa and Atlanta?

Correct me if I am wrong, but do I only see a bumper hitch on the F150? A class III receiver, and some bolt on overload springs would have been at least what one should have had to do this job with a 1/2 ton. Looks like a great strapping job.

    Transmission or Transfer Case leak

If it is on the tranny pan, then I would not believe it is the transfer case. Not unless you drive backwards a lot. I would clean everything off again really well. Put the tcase in N and transmission in drive and warm up the tranny a bit. Shut it off, then look for the leak. Check the...

A master fabricator could cut then end off your tank, then reweld it to the length you need.

    storing deisel fuel

Store it in unvented, air/water tight containers, and I would imagine it will store for a long time. Another thing to consider is to use it up, and buy fresh once a year. So, might need double your storage tanks. The military used 55 gallon drums to store fuel, so look into what those were...
