4413 is short to ground B solenoid. Supposed to be 3.26 ohms between transmission pin J and H at the transmission. And no continuity between either pin and ground. If checks out at the transmission, look for harness problems, especially where the harness enters the cab.

The 6.5 was used up until 2001 or so in various vehicles including vans, most of the time with A/C. Those newer vehicles are sometimes hard to spot in junk yards. Anyway, that serp setup is the most reliable I can think of.

Some deceptive photographs of the rear drive shaft, one pic shows the slip joint fully extended, others show it in the normal state. That truck has not run or gotten any love in at least 10 years. Like the rear window though.

The later 5 ton versions of that truck are called "SEORTM" or "Shop Equipment Organizational Repair Truck Mounted". Not sure if that earlier deuce mounted version was called that as well. The chassis would be called M46. Very nice survivor! Kudos to you for preserving it!

Unplug the switch at the proportioning valve, if the light goes away, you have bubbles in the system.

Suggest you look for concealed corrosion between the battery cable strands and the crimped on lugs. This will cause the condition you describe.

I think that decal is available reproduction for the Mopar crowd. Stick it on the passenger inner fender and get it good and dirty and tell the DMV "oh I found what you are looking for!" On the data plates it does say W200 which is 3/4 ton. The front axle isn't even the most GVW available...
