My 923A1 did not want to start yesterday at all, I was lucky if the starter turned the motor a full revolution. Ether in the air in take did nothing since the motor was barely even turning over. Batteries are decent the truck is just reluctant to start under 40. Has to slave the running Mep002a...
Are you getting fuel to the injectors? Have you hooked up eveything so you cab see the injectors pop or have yo put a guage on the injector lines to verify pressure? You might not be delivering fuel to the cylinders. I also had an ip where the fuel cutoff linkage was 180deg out from where it...
I did a stacked drop hitch. 2-1/2" on top and 2" on the bottom. 1/2" drop brackets, 4x4 square tube, D ring shackles all welded. Also made up a converter to a 12V 7 pin civi trailer.
I used tractor supply hydrostatic/hydraulic fluid. They are essentially all the same specs. Allison is looking for C4 certified IIRC which most universal hydraulic fluid is. The transmission takes pretty much 5 gals
I had my positive line from the batteries decide to contact the frame and everything stopped especially the fuel pumps. Turns out the ground strap that is right under the control panel cooked and lost continuity dropping my ground. I also had a field flashing issue and had the a-4 diodes cook. I...
That is one of the field diodes but not the one I was referring to. If you need that just look up field flash diode and you should have success getting the pn
#4 is running fine and making power. Had to make some Adjustments to the governor to bring the unit up to speed but other than that it looks like it just needed a longer preheat time to light of.
Overall I got all 4 running and working handing a 5 kw load with easy, now to bring my load up to...
Well #3 is on line, the two diodes on A4 were replaced with the diodes that triple jim suggested and she fired right over making power. Moving onto #4 tomorrow with the ip and injector issues
Munchies. I get it now that's why there is the allen plug in order to open it up to make adjustments.
Zeus, like munchies said you can take the distributor cap off and remove the valve (don't loose anything) and verify that in fact your plunger is moving and being 180 out you should still be...
I have dealt with him and he indeed is a great person to deal with, ordered parts and had them in a few days and he definitely undersold the condition that they were in. Very satisfied with the parts and his help and may send them to him if I get to that step. Once you figure out the IP tricks...
I have a 002a that is doing the same thing where its not popping the injectors and with the lines to the injectors off, fuel comes out the injector return line. I see this as semi-normal as the injector return line goes to the IP return line. The IP has a fuel galley which is constantly being...
Well it's always the simple things that come back to bite you. Grounding issues back to the battery was the reason for the no pump condition. My A4 board has Cr1 and Cr4 Fried at the least. Does anyone know the specifics for these diodes otherwise I'll have to dig for it.thanks
Triple Jim, Thank you for confirming that I was thinking of a similar process after I opened the piston of one up. I think it is a wiring issue that I am having that causes a 24V reading when disconnected then an apparent short when connected to a pump. If it was not for a presumed working pump...
