My M813 on 14.00s has a top speed near 70, however personally I do not feel comfortable driving it that fast, even though it is nice and stable. The truck itself seems to like 57 as a cruising speed, and I have no reason to push it.

Tim, believe it or not, I have them on both sides! :D
They were a little wonky to start with, but some careful work on them with a body hammer and a piece of wood as a forming anvil and they came out pretty straight. I imagine they'd be easy to replicate, using these ones as patterns.

While the M715 project is pretty much finished, it appears I have been remiss in posting my updates!

A tidbit regarding weapons - in the Army version, the driver often had an M79 grenade launcher. It fit in the gun rack between the front seats, and is seen in many period Vietnam photos on or hanging from his open hatch cover.

I will add that, in my personal opinion based on driving my M109A3 and M185A3 for many years, stick with the duals on the back.
The trucks are "tippy" with that big heavy box on there, and having driven another chap's M109 with singled 11.00s on...
A slight delay from paint curing completely, then rain, then birthing some late calves.
So, finally time to put the bed liner on. This entailed removing the troop seats, and a lot of masking, then wrapping the whole truck in a cocoon.
No chance of overspray! ;)
