Military Vehicle Canvas Do's and Don'ts
My seats looked ok, but a little grungy. Ran them through the washing machine on the delicate cycle.
Wrong move.
Co-Driver seatback - unwashed
Co-driver seat bottom - washed and "distressed" as they say of blue jeans in the fashion industry...
I don't have technical answers to your questions, but here are some pics, with apologies to Monster Man - The King of Deuce How-To Photo Layouts...
The air horns appear to get the air supply from where the air goes through the firewall to the air pressure buzzer. My truck has a t-connection...
The Deuce tips & Tricks indicates DOT 5 is the milspec brake fluid. I think DOT 3 is the cililian brake fluid that is often used. (Somebody correct me if I've screwed up!)
And we would f course be remiss if we didn't mention that our sponsor has these items for about $20 - $25. (Maybe I could sneak these items into the family budget as "yard tools.")
Ok. NOTICE: Tree-hugging, nursing-school induced, trauma-fearing question approaching:
Three-point seatbelts in a deuce?
a) Out of the question!
b) Dude, if you're asking that question you really need to hop in your Volvo and go back where you came from!
c) Difficult, but...
Glad to help, if only to be of moral support...

Can I be naive and hope that the HazMat fees for paint of about $20 are per SHIPMENT, or is it per GALLON?
Talked with a local paint source and they were quoting $40/quart or $120/gallon. Ouch!

Grolsch is about as much Dutch as I absolutely need to know! (Personal prejudice against that Heineken stuff...). I did manage to make myself understood on a train from Krakow to Dresden to two lovely life-experienced ladies (ok, they were senior citizens) with German, Dutch, and a lot of...
Hey Sniper,
Your English is great! You don't see any of us trying to learn Dutch, do you?
Best regards,
Peter

My truck was manufactured as a M35A2 WO/W in 1971 and is set up with headlights in the lower holes, BO light in the upper driver's side and what I guess is a horn in the upper co-driver's side. (At some point someone installed two-tone air horn trumpets under the hood.)
We'll have to work towards a visit this summer - I'm only three weeks from the end of nursing school and looking forward to a little time for projects of MY chosing!
