    Warning please check

It would be fun to safety wire all those bolts that close together. You can buy the bolts drilled, or drill them yourself. I used to be good at safety wire, looked purty when I was done. I not so sure safety wire keeps them from backing out, or lets you know when one is loose by breaking the...

I've stowed and attached jib booms before, they attached on the side of the crane boom. That would be a job, taking that sucker off.

    My upcoming Ohio/Indianapolis trip

If you are on route 30, you will be within 5 or so miles of my place. Are you taking 23 south to columbus then? That would put me a little more out of the way. I'm just past bucyrus, ohio.

    FWD Wheel mount Military crane

How the heck do you stow the boom for road travel? If it is as rust free as he says, maybe clutch bands aren't that bad.

    Noise in 5th gear

They do tend to whine in 5th gear. I've had mine apart before, and everything looked fine. Other truck doesn't whine. What kind of noise is it? Pulling the top of the transmission off isn't hard. You can tighten the driveshaft bolts from underneath. I've started to use locktite on them...

I found a military document, has a lot of interesting vechiles in it. Anyways, it has truck labeled M108A2, 2 1/2 ton wrecker/crane, and under the vehicle characteristics it says multifuel. Look on page 95 on the following link. http://www.dtic.mil/cgi-bin/GetTRDoc?AD=AD0881479

    M108 blew up/recovery(fixed)

Yep, this is the engine from Haspin, big thanks to Adam for getting it to me. Drove it a little more, and tuned the pyro in some. Feels pretty smooth and strong, see how it runs on the way to Marango. Idle problem fixed itself. But the speedometer quit on it, one more thing to fix.
