Oil or Atf? I used 40 weight and have had better luck with that then Atf.
fill the oil with the truck running and in gear.
You could try adjusting the linkage from the carburetor to the transmission either forward or back just take note of where it was.

Has anyone converted their truck to 12v?
What are the drawbacks to this?
Is it a lot of work?
I'm re-powering the M215 and the starter I have with the new engine is 12volt.

A guy just down the street from me had his truck fall on his head and no his head was not strong enough to support his truck. YUK!
#1 Flipped hubs and the axles ARE the same. The brake drum will need a different spacing plate.
#2 Check TM9-8024 TO 36A12-1B-321. page 481 figure 270 and 271.
#3 Grease in the front wet in the rear. (after typing that it sounds so dirty).
