Haven't been on here since before I left for boot camp and I've noticed there aren't many trucks on GL these days, are they all pretty much turned in and sold or is this just a low point. Not trying to start one of those "OMG ALL THE DEUCES ARE GONE" threads just trying to get back into the...
Problem#1: Wipers have always been slow since I have had my M1009, but one day I cut on the wipers one afternoon after it snowed and the fuse proceeded to melt/burn to nothing. Pulled what was left out of the fuse block and only drove the Blazer on good days.
Problem#2: Installed new reman...
I have been thinking lately of replacing the guages in a deuce to all mechanical. Are the bulbs in the stock guages 24 volts? And are the holes in the guage panel a common size? Dont really have a good reason just think it would be nice if the guages could work if the acces. switch was off.
I have been in the process of lifting my M1008 and the only thing left is to install the pass. side rear shock. My problem: the Skyjacker shock that I had been trying to install would not clear the axle. I tried to beat the mount back towards the rear but only ended up cracking a weld. Took the...

I was bleeding the fuel system today, and when I went to reinstall the secondary and final fuel filters I decided to use the gaskets included in OD Irons Kit ( didn't the first time), but they are a pain in the butt to get on. What is the key/trick or are they the wrong size?
I'm installing one of OD Irons fuel pumps on my truck, I am to the point of wiring it in, but I have no power to the fuel pump wires, the gauges are dead, the low air buzzer doesn't work and the starter wont turn over. I have head lights, turn signals, and horn. My tail lights are unhooked...
I bought a set of four (4) HMMVV tires with rims yesterday (12/2), I got my "paid" invoice today, and I want to know if there is anyone going there or that lives close enough to get them off base for me and then I can come get them on a weekend. Thanks.

Here are some pics of my 1985 Jeep CJ10a Tug that I won a few months ago. When I got it it was missing the GP's, oil dipstick, and alt./vacuum pump. I found some glow plugs for it and installed them. And managed to get it to run on either. Then Sat. I tested the Gp's to make sure they were good...
I was informed this week that there was a Willys Jeep for sale near my house. Went and looked at it and needs some resto work. Called the guy and asked him about it, he said the one I looked at runs and he has a second to sell with a good body. Asking $1900. Good deal?
Ok, I have the injector AND glow plug removed. I have fished around with a magnet and have not found it. It is the rear cylinder on the passenger side, and I am not seeing a way to get my head, eyes, or a flashlight down there to see into the cylinder.
How big are the holes in the percombustion...
I was mowing around the deuces this weekend and noticed that the lawnmower fit further under the winch truck than it did under the no winch truck. Does one sit a bit higher than the other?
