    Been wanting a dropside bed since I bought my M35A2C. The fire dept. changed the original dropside bed out for a fixed side. I had a the "C" but no dropside! So I purchased the M1078 bed from a fire dept that wanted a fixed side for their M1078. The 1078 bed is a 1/2 inch wider than the deuce...

    We used to reuse copper washers in my former life and I would see sealing problems due to work hardening. I would take the used washer and heat it to red and quench. Clean it up and use it. If you want to use American but you cant find it then reuse your old one. If it is pitted there are shops...

    Ok, something else I built. This little trailer is so I dont have to pick this generator up everytime I need to move it. And yes I can pick up one end and pull it on a shop cart or the pickup.

    Try and shoot some penetrating oil in it too. I hooked a hydraulic power pack to a grease gun coupler and shot hydraulic oil into one. Or you could buy one of those grease busters.

    I dont do pretty, I build things to do what I need at the moment. A dollie to move a bed and a set of forks for my TO20 to move the things I cant now. Scrap trailers from pickup trucks, fixtures to hold things to weld. An A-frame for my chain hoist.
