    M37 temperature indication problem

Mostly I never saw a temperature gauge of any flavor depict the real temperature within 15%. On the subs they are rather accurate. Late model in aircraft are really Good but in a on-the-wheels/tracked vehicle they are ALWAYS suspect and wrong. Use your temperature heat gun first. Jump to no...

I went back and bought the truck

Change the oil when warmed up. It is only five gallons. The design is to drain All the lube oil into the pan on shutdown so install the spin on anti-blowwdown filters. They are available everywhere. DO Not put the crankcase lube oil into the fuel as ONE can not get the soot out. Well you can but...

Some more 404 advice - a year later

Maybe need better fuel? There are many many additives but maybe just use better fuel. The distillers no longer add into the mix what it is they used to do which gums things up big time. Fuel used to be good for years, now is NG by less than 6 months. If your engine has a carburetor then take...

    M931a2 cooling issue

Use your heat gun everywhere. It will tell you temperature wherever pointed. It is a very useful tool. These trucks run cool. Forget the coolant temp and study the block temp for a while. Block/ engine oil must get hot to burn out the nasties. What is oil filters temp? Maybe not an accurate...

Transfer Case Shifter Hard to put in High

I have double clutched everything I have driven. My VW in Germany had a 1949 crashbox, no syhnchros, always DC. My '51 Chevy liked it and my 6 speed MGB liked it. Why do you think that when you lend your TR6 to a girl it takes her about 12 minutes to completley wipe all the bronze synchros...

Transfer Case Shifter Hard to put in High

Pull the tunnel covers and inspect all under there and grease it all. Maybe (probably) will find loose bolts on jackshaft and many grease fittings not seen in years and years. Since you inspecting transfer case linkages it would then be time to lube and tighten all that too. One will find loose...
